Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for assisting department head in the leadership and management of all functions of the Engineering division, in accordance with hotel standards, including managing preventative maintenance and energy conservation programs. Manage all engineering operations for interior/exterior facilities including electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating/cooling and structural. Assigns, tracks and follows up on status of work assigned to staff and contractors. Helps increase guest and associate satisfaction through effective communications and training.
Responsible for maintaining resort wide fleet of vehicles including annual licensing, maintenance and insurance.
Responsible for preventive maintenance and general repairs of the laundry facility and all laundry equipment.
The position has overall responsibility for buildings and plant maintenance and protection, hotel grounds landscaping and maintenance, maintenance of guest rooms and public spaces, with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection.

QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education and Experience
? High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
OR
? 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 2 years' experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.

Skills and Knowledge

Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on mechanical equipment, golf carts and vehicles, laundry equipment, and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
? Mechanical - Knowledge of machines, computers, tools and other equipment, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
? Troubleshooting - Determining causes of mechanical or technological operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
? Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective operations for the protection of people, data and property.
? Building and Construction - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures such as walkways, parking lots, and guest facilities.
? Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
? Computer Skills - Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Building Management Systems, Crestron and CMMS.
