About the Role

The Director of Sales Middle East will manage their own client base whilst also implementing action plans and accomplishing set targets. Contributing to the formulation of a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize revenue and profit performance of the hotel from the Middle East region. The Director of Sales Middle-East leads the execution of the commercial strategy through leadership, managing key accounts/markets, working closely with the DOS and the DOSM and by collaborating effectively with the hotel operational teams and the regional sales and support teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering results of your own accounts and markets (defined with DOSM in light of market/hotel needs)
  • Responsible for achieving rooms’ revenues as well as the targets set by the DOSM within the year
  • Review direct competition and always ensure complete awareness of competitor’s activities 
  • Maintain successful communications within the sales team and the operational team.
  • Ensure that selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximizes up selling opportunities
  • develop/validate quarterly financial targets for the region according to agreed budget
  • Attend industry and company sales events when relevant
  • Monitor Comp set activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to achieve a fair market share
  • Plan, manage and evaluate current sales processes and activities in collaboration with DOSM and DOS

           

About you

  •  You have proven grounded experience in Sales within a luxury hospitality environment you understand the expectations of the luxury clientele from the Middle East region
  • You are driven by performance; you understand revenue management and you can elaborate sales sales strategies per segments on your markets.
  • You have a strong knowledge of the luxury hospitality/travel market in the Middle East
  • You have a great ability to build relationships, you are a facilitator for our guests, for your team and you can communicate with different services to ensure we provide our guests with the highest level of service and experience.
  •  Promote goodwill by being courteous, friendly and helpful to our guests, managers and fellow associates.
  • You are a “brand ambassador” at all times and ensure brand integrity and clarity are all maintained
