Rosewood Miramar Beach, A Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an Income Auditor. This role is responsible for the accounting of daily income from all guest charges, F&B outlets, and 3rd parties. The Income Auditor will audit and verify all revenue transactions, preparing daily and monthly sales and other reports for management according to hotel policies and procedures. Responsible for reviewing adjustments made by associates and identifying discrepancies for research and correction. Assist with finance daily tasks as needed in the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
- Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
- Complete month-end accounting procedures as specified, including monthly reports.
- Create Daily Revenue Report and distribute to management team.
- Ensure daily income and statistics are posted timely to the general ledger.
- Audit Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Spa sales; review house charges, voids, discounts & comps and distribute to management team.
- Prepare and send out daily reporting of audit findings and follow up with appropriate managers for any incomplete backup or documentation.
- Verify Banquet event checks are posted and correct according to BEOs.
- Verify cash drops against cash tender reports and send out over/short reports, audit the daily cash summary and update General Cashier’s report.
- Audit and reconcile gift card activations/redemptions with guest charges/payments.
- Create journal entries to adjust or correct postings and accounts as necessary.
- Maintain filing systems for the daily information, restaurant charges, promotional and Comp tickets.
- Issue outlet guest checks upon request.
- Assist with month end closing within the 5-day closing schedule, monthly revenues completed by the 2nd day.
- Complete additional month-end closing procedures as specified, including monthly reports.
- All other duties as required.

Technical Skills: Ability to input information into and access the Accounting system; ability to maintain concentration and think clearly; ability to prioritize, organize and follow-up; ability to promote positive relations with vendors and associates alike; ability to provide clear and pleasant telephone communication in accordance with Forbes 5 star standards; ability to maintain confidentiality of pertinent hotel data; ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision; ability to remain stationary at assigned post for extended periods of time; ability to focus on details and resolve numerical problems; ability to work cohesively with other departments and co-workers as part of a team.
Language: Required to speak, read, and write English for business and accounting purposes.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 20 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
Qualifications: High school diploma or college preferred, especially with business or related education.
Experience:
- Minimum one years’ experience in accounting; prior hotel/resort experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Excel greatly preferred; ability to expand on knowledge appreciated.
The pay scale for this position is between $22.00 and $25.00/hour. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.
