Position Overview
Rosewood AMAALA, part of the ultra-luxury Red Sea Global destination, is seeking a dynamic Chef de Cuisine – Steakhouse & Grill to lead the culinary operations of its specialty steakhouse. This role focuses on premium cuts, grilling excellence, and delivering a refined dining experience that reflects Rosewood’s standards of luxury.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the steakhouse & grill culinary operations.
• Design and implement menus highlighting premium meats, grills, and accompaniments.
• Ensure consistent quality, flavor, and presentation of all dishes.
• Source and manage premium meat suppliers to guarantee product excellence.
• Train, mentor, and inspire a team of chefs and cooks to deliver exceptional service.
• Control kitchen operations including food cost management and inventory control.
• Ensure strict compliance with HACCP, food safety, and hygiene standards.
• Play a key role in pre-opening activities such as recruitment, training, and kitchen setup.
Qualifications
• Minimum 8–10 years of culinary experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role in a luxury steakhouse or grill concept.
• Deep knowledge of butchery, grilling techniques, and premium meat handling.
• Pre-opening experience in ultra-luxury or lifestyle brands strongly preferred.
• Proven leadership and mentoring skills in managing multicultural teams.
• Strong organizational and financial management skills.
• Culinary degree or equivalent qualification required.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are an advantage.
