Overview
Able to provide Rosewood Miramar Beach guests with a unique and outstanding locker room/spa experience. Provide effective and efficient guest service. Provide members/guests with extensive knowledge of the spa in order to enhance their visit and promote Sense Spa members /guests with the highest level of services to increase sales and demand repeat business.

 
Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental Rosewood policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.  Use equipment only as intended.
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and at whatever time of day.
  • Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Follow Spa opening procedures.
  • Report working in an appropriate uniform, on time, and well-groomed according to Rosewood Miramar Beach guidelines.
  • Guest Service
  • Assist guests in the following areas:
a. Spa, dining, and other reservations and information.
b. Locker key administration
c. Salon and Fitness rooms
d. Towels, robes, sandals, and amenities maintenance.
  • Attend all scheduled associate meetings.
  • The follow-up to the spa director on all comments, concerns, and suggestions made by associates and Rosewood Miramar Beach members and guests.
  • Explain and promote all spa facilities, services, and activities.
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of spa services, programming, and reservations.
  • Receive and manage all locker room supplies and equipment.
  • Continually strive to improve the procedures at the spa reception desk.
  • Follow the spa attendant’s procedures in the spa policy/procedure manual.
  • Model and reinforce all standards and policies set by The Spa at Rosewood Miramar Beach
  • Provide updates and accurate information regarding spa policy and any supplemental information, which will increase the associates’ knowledge base and effectiveness.
  • Attend all spas’ training sessions on a consistent and regular basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining helpful, cooperative relations with co-workers.
  • Responsible for adhering to Rosewood Miramar Beach employee handbook guidelines and The Spa Policy/Procedure manual.
  • Responsible for adhering to Rosewood Miramar Beach's core values.
  • Responsible for assisting, establishing, and maintaining the standard of excellence in professional image and service.
  • All other duties as required.

Requirements
  • Maintain a professional and courteous manner whilst at work.
  • Be known for being honest, reliable, confidential, and trustworthy.
  • Ensure guest and employee privacy and security by respecting confidential information
  • Carry out any reasonable requests made by the manager and other management team members in a timely manner.
  • Be proactive, ask questions, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Attend and complete the resort’s required training sessions and programs.
  • Perform work with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
  • Attend and participate in the hotel and departmental meetings and briefings.
  • Knowledge of SpaSoft is an asset.

 
Experience                   
Previous experience in a luxury spa environment, preferably within a luxury or ultra-luxury hotel.  A background in fitness education and/or health-related discipline is an asset.

 
Education                      
High school diploma, or diploma or degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience with a hospitality background.

 
General Skills 
Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

 
Technical Skills            
Knowledge of telephone systems; ability to suggestively sell; ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers; knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office suite.

 
Language                     
Required to speak, read and write English, and do basic mathematics.  Fluency in other languages is a plus.

 
Physical Requirements
Able to endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.

 

The pay scale for this position is between $18.04 and $18.54/hour plus retail commissions. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay.



Rosewood Miramar Beach requires all associates to be up to date on their COVID-19 vaccination, including receiving a booster if eligible. Accordingly, applicants will be required to submit proof of vaccination prior to beginning employment and may only begin employment if fully vaccinated.
