THE TEAM
As part of the Sales & Marketing Division, which focuses on driving brand awareness, revenue growth, and guest engagement through strategic marketing and communications, this role contributes to positioning the property as a leader in luxury hospitality and lifestyle experiences. You will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing, collaborating closely with corporate brand teams, operations, and external partners.
YOUR ROLE
The Director of Communications plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the hotel’s integrated marketing, public relations, and communications strategy. This position ensures brand consistency, elevates the property’s image in the luxury lifestyle sector, and drives engagement through innovative campaigns. By leading strategic initiatives across media relations, digital marketing, partnerships, and content creation, this role directly impacts revenue growth, guest loyalty, and market positioning
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy aligned with Rosewood’s vision and brand standards.
- Oversee all hotel marketing activities, including publications, media relations, property programming, partnerships, retail, events, digital marketing, CRM, eCommerce, social media, and content creation.
- Act as the hotel’s primary representative for media, influencers, and KOLs; host press events, interviews, and trips to drive coverage and build relationships.
- Manage editorial direction, storytelling, and profiling of key spokespersons; oversee production and distribution of all publications.
- Lead agency management for PR, marketing, and social media, including RFP processes, onboarding, and performance evaluation.
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships in lifestyle, fashion, and retail sectors to enhance brand positioning.
- Ensure all print and digital materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency.
- Oversee social media strategy, content production, and performance reporting across all channels.
- Support Talent & Culture initiatives by promoting the hotel’s philosophy internally and managing LinkedIn strategy.
- Lead crisis communications planning and execution.
- Present monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and results to key stakeholders, including corporate brand teams and property leadership.
- Monitor market trends and conduct research to inform strategy and maintain competitive positioning.
- Manage annual communications budget, ensuring ROI-driven decisions and alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Foster a high-performance team culture through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Drive associate engagement through regular communication, recognition programs, and development opportunities.

- You demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with a proven ability to build, inspire, and motivate high-performing teams.
- You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a natural strength in storytelling, content creation, and impactful presentation.
- You have a strong understanding of digital marketing, social media management, and content optimization strategies.
- You demonstrate solid business acumen with the ability to deliver measurable results and support broader organizational objectives.
- You are experienced in PR writing, including press releases, biographies, and fact sheets, with a keen eye for detail and brand alignment.
- You exhibit strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- You have a deep understanding of luxury hospitality market trends and a guest-centric approach to communications.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- You demonstrate strong alignment with Rosewood’s values, with a focus on authenticity, creativity, and meaningful connection.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
