Role Overview

The Security Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of resort security, life safety, risk management, and emergency preparedness. This role ensures the protection of guests, associates, contractors, visitors, company assets, and reputation through proactive security operations, compliance with Saudi regulations, and the implementation of Rosewood brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the day-to-day security operations across the entire resort.
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure 24-hour security coverage for all operational areas.
  • Manage outsourced security providers and ensure contractual compliance and service excellence.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of guest, associate, back-of-house, and perimeter areas.
  • Oversee access control systems, visitor management, and key control procedures.
  • Ensure effective CCTV surveillance and monitoring systems are maintained.
  • Develop and maintain the resort's comprehensive Risk Register.
  • Conduct regular security and operational risk assessments across all departments.
  • Identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation plans.
  • Carry out routine safety inspections of guest and associate areas.
  • Ensure compliance with Rosewood Hotels standards, Red Sea Global requirements, and Saudi regulations.
  • Monitor workplace safety practices and recommend continuous improvements.
  • Support departmental risk assessments and operational safety reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Emergency Response Plans.
  • Lead the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency simulations.
  • Ensure all emergency equipment remains operational and compliant.
  • Participate in crisis management planning and business continuity initiatives.
  • Act as Incident Commander during emergency situations when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all Fire & Life Safety standards.
  • Coordinate inspections of fire alarm systems, extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, emergency lighting, and evacuation routes.
  • Work closely with Engineering to maintain all life safety systems.
  • Conduct routine fire risk assessments.
  • Promote a strong safety culture throughout the resort.
  • Lead investigations involving theft, accidents, misconduct, property damage, security breaches, and guest incidents.
  • Prepare professional investigation reports with factual findings and recommendations.
  • Preserve evidence and maintain confidentiality.
  • Liaise with government authorities when required.
  • Monitor incident trends and implement preventive actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi laws, Civil Defence requirements, and all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain all security-related licenses, permits, certifications, and records.
  • Prepare security reports, audit documentation, and compliance records.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive security leadership experience.
  • At least 3 years in a Security Manager role within a luxury hotel, resort, or mixed-use development.
  • Pre-opening experience is highly preferred.
