Job Description

The Japanese-Speaking Guest Services Officer must be fluent in verbal and written Nihongo language. He/she will assist in answering the telephone, greeting and meeting guests in the lobby and be responsible for handling minor complaints, specifically handling and assisting Japanese guests.

He/she will ensure that the front of the house operations are at all times running efficiently and liaise with department heads any problems and occurrences. He/she will follow up and supervise special check-in and check-out procedures for VIP/Japanese guests, such as the arrangement of hotel airport limousine services, reconfirmation of airline tickets, coordination with the Concierge department to ensure VIP guests receive airport departure services and for the arrangement of the Airport Representatives to bid farewell to VIP guests during departure. He/she will handle Japanese translations and communications (i.e., emails; letters) in Japanese transcript when required.

The candidate, preferably, should be knowledgeable of the OPERA system. He/she should be familiar with all policies and procedures, operational standards and procedures as applicable.

The Japanese-Speaking Guest Services Officer must ensure that the guest welfare is looked after properly in line with our commitment to serve.
