THE TEAM

The Culinary team at Rosewood Abu Dhabi is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences through creativity, craftsmanship, and operational excellence. Working alongside experienced chefs in a dynamic kitchen environment, the team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.

As a Commis 1, you will report to the Junior Sous Chef and play an important role in supporting the daily operation of your assigned kitchen section while contributing to the overall success of the culinary team.

YOUR ROLE

As a Commis 1, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes within your assigned kitchen section, ensuring all food is produced according to established recipes, standards, and procedures.

You will support the Junior Sous Chef in maintaining efficient kitchen operations, upholding food safety and hygiene standards, and delivering exceptional culinary experiences. You will also assist in guiding junior culinary associates while continually developing your own skills and expertise.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

• Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to Rosewood culinary standards and recipes
• Ensure mise en place is organized and fully prepared for all service periods
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations
• Monitor product quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards
• Support and guide Commis 2 and Commis 3 associates in daily kitchen operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment while ensuring proper care of equipment

COULD THIS BE YOU?

• You have experience working in a professional kitchen within a hotel, resort, or high-quality restaurant environment
• You are passionate about culinary excellence and take pride in producing high-quality dishes
• You have strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen operations, and food safety standards
• You are organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform efficiently under pressure
• You enjoy working collaboratively and supporting the development of junior team members
• You communicate effectively in English; additional language skills would be an advantage
