Job Description

Position Summary:

The Resort Activities Coordinator (RAC) is responsible for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and directing comprehensive activity programming for Guests, encompassing the entire Resort at Rosewood Bermuda. In addition, the RAS will oversee the all the Resort Activities, Resort Fee Inclusions, Concierge and Back Office Concierge ensuring that they possess the tools and information to provide curated, personalized experiences for the Guests. The RAS must ensure that all activities and events reflect Rosewood's brand standards and Rosewood's Sense of Place TM philosophy_ Activities must be designed to cater to a wide range of ages and interests.

Essential Functions:

• Actively interact with Guests, communicating activities/events and encouraging participation.
• Create, implement, and direct seasonally appropriate activities, special events, and programs using themed concepts for Guests.
• Develop and implement Holiday programs.
• Work closely with the various departments in the planning, scheduling, and execution of events, maintaining communication with other necessary departments at all times regarding resort activities.
• Assign work duties to concierge associates in accordance with departmental procedures. Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift. Identify situations, which compromise the department's standards and delegate these tasks.
• Ensures regular communications occurs by conducting Rosewood Daily Reviews and by conducting monthly communication meetings with associates.
• Attends managers' meetings and operations meetings as required.
• Work with the F&B team to develop menus to support various activities.
• Work closely with Sales & Marketing and the Membership Coordinator for marketing of special events and important resort information.
• Regularly attend Departmental Daily Reviews, sharing information about Resort activities/events with Associates, with the aim of spreading the word to Guests.
• Develop and implement creative activities and services to be held at the Beach and Poolside.
• Develop and implement innovative and entertaining "Rainy Day Activities".
• Support the Conference Services department in coordinating group activities and/or assist in group events as needed.
• Organize guest sign up process for all activities; train all those in contact with guests and activities to understand processes and activities.
• Become acquainted with each day's arrivals, VIP's and daily group activities.
• Works closely with our concessionary partners e.g. The Dive Shop etc. to ensure guest's needs are.

Experience:

Working and/or training in an activity department or program of a large resort with at least two of these years in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
