THE TEAM
As part of the Finance Division, this leadership role supports the overall financial strategy, operational excellence, and compliance of the hotel. Reporting to the Director of Finance Business Partner, the Assistant Director of Finance collaborates with department leaders and corporate stakeholders to ensure financial integrity, drive performance, and support long-term growth.
YOUR ROLE
As Assistant Director of Finance, you will oversee the daily operations of the Accounting function while supporting strategic financial leadership. You will ensure that all financial controls, books, records, and reporting are accurate, compliant, and aligned with Rosewood policies and regulatory requirements.
This role plays a key part in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and operational decision-making, while also leading and developing a high-performing finance team.
HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
Financial Leadership
- Support the development of financial strategies aligned with organizational goals and long-term vision.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, including payroll and overhead expense planning.
- Perform monthly financial analysis and report insights to senior leadership.
- Identify business opportunities and drive profitability.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee accounting operations to ensure compliance with hotel procedures and internal controls.
- Manage timelines for monthly reporting and ensure accuracy of journals, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Review expense reports, payroll records, and reconciliations for accuracy and compliance.
- Support capital expenditure planning and ROI analysis.
Controls, Compliance & Risk
- Ensure all financial records and supporting documentation are accurate and properly maintained.
- Safeguard company assets including cash, contracts, and financial systems.
- Prepare for internal and external audits.
Cash & Treasury Management
- Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash balances.
- Ensure deposits, payments, and reconciliations are handled accurately.
Team & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse and capable finance team.
- Foster a positive work environment and high engagement.
- Support recruitment, training, and succession planning.

COULD THIS BE YOU?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a finance leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Demonstrated business acumen and analytical capability.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Experience with hotel accounting systems and Microsoft Office is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking ability.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $114,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
