As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.

THE TEAM
Our Private Dining & Banquets team is dedicated to creating exceptional event experiences that leave a lasting impression on our guests. Working closely with Culinary, Stewarding, Engineering and other operational departments, the team delivers seamless service across a variety of functions and special events. Reporting to the Banquets Manager, this role plays a key part in ensuring service excellence while supporting the success and development of banquet associates.

YOUR ROLE
As Banquets Captain, you will oversee the execution of assigned events, ensuring service standards are consistently delivered and guest expectations are exceeded. You will lead, train and support banquet staff, coordinate event operations, and serve as a key point of contact throughout functions. Through strong leadership, attention to detail and a passion for hospitality, you will help create memorable experiences that reflect Rosewood’s commitment to excellence.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE
  • Supervise, coach and support banquet associates to ensure exceptional service standards are maintained throughout every event.
  • Coordinate event preparation, set-up, service execution and breakdown in accordance with departmental procedures and guest requirements.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings and communicate function details, assignments, special requests and operational updates to the team.
  • Partner with Culinary, Stewarding and Engineering teams to ensure all menu, equipment and service requirements are delivered seamlessly.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction throughout events, proactively addressing requests and resolving concerns in a professional manner.
  • Ensure banquet rooms, buffets, bars and service stations are properly prepared, presented and maintained to hotel standards.
  • Assign and coordinate staff responsibilities, stations and breaks while maintaining efficient service flow throughout functions.
  • Support training and development initiatives while providing feedback and operational updates to Banquets leadership.

COULD THIS BE YOU?
  • You have experience delivering banquet, private dining or event service within a luxury hospitality or fine dining environment.
  • You are a confident team leader who can motivate colleagues, delegate responsibilities and maintain a collaborative work environment.
  • You possess outstanding organizational skills and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • You are highly detail-oriented and committed to maintaining exceptional service, presentation and operational standards.
  • You build strong guest relationships and respond to requests and challenges with professionalism, composure and sound judgment.
  • You communicate clearly and effectively with guests, colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • You are comfortable using point-of-sale systems and handling event-related billing and cashiering responsibilities.
  • You hold, or are willing to obtain, any required alcohol service certification and are eligible to serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with local regulations.

OUR BENEFITS

As part of our team, you’ll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard – and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations. We’re not only committed to building and nurturing genuine, long-lasting relationships but to transforming them – and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) strategy helps put these principles into practice.
