Job Description

SCOPE

Serve as the Resident Manager in the hotel's operations business. Ensure that various departments operate successfully and fully adhere to the hotel’s standards.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the hotel, assisting the General Manager in setting hotel goals, strategies, etc., and fully performing the General Manager's tasks during their absence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain a broad knowledge of and adapt to departmental policies, service procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure that standards are maintained at a high level on a daily basis and at all times.
  • Supervise and manage the Food and Beverage, Rooms Division, Maintenance, Security, and Guest Relations departments.
  • Participate in the management and control of the Accounting, Sales and Marketing, and Human Resources departments.
  • Assist in establishing and creating goals and strategies to achieve the hotel's operational and financial success.
  • Ensure that the goals and objectives of the Human Resources department are based on the hotel's philosophy, including but not limited to hiring, employee relations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain contact with corporate offices regarding the execution of corporate goals.
  • Responsible for setting and maintaining the hotel standards to achieve and maintain "5-star" status.
  • As a member of the Executive Committee, work closely with other team members to achieve the hotel's goals and objectives.
  • Set annual objectives for Executives and Department Heads who report directly to you.
  • Responsible for ensuring employee adherence to the hotel's policies and procedures. Apply disciplinary action when appropriate.
  • Serve as the Shift Manager.
  • Interact courteously and professionally with guests, staff, and community members.
  • Respond courteously, professionally, and promptly to resolve any guest or staff conflicts.
  • Apply logical thinking principles to a wide range of intellectual and non-standardized problems and practices to develop and lead a variety of tasks.
  • Supervise, direct, coordinate, influence, and persuade staff to maintain the hotel’s service standards.
