Position Overview
The Beverage Manager is responsible for curating, developing, and managing the resort’s entire beverage program, including wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings. This role requires a strong understanding of luxury hospitality, creativity in design and presentation, and the ability to deliver memorable beverage experiences that align with Rosewood’s philosophy of A Sense of Place.
The Beverage Manager will ensure all beverage operations across outlets are executed seamlessly while mentoring associates, maintaining supplier relationships, and driving revenue through innovative concepts and exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the resort’s beverage strategy across all outlets.
· Curate an exceptional wine list, cocktail program, and non-alcoholic selections that reflect Rosewood standards and local culture.
· Ensure compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements related to beverages.
· Monitor beverage cost, inventory, and revenue performance, implementing strategies for optimization.
· Collaborate with Culinary and F&B leaders to create harmonious food & beverage pairings.
· Lead training programs for associates on wine knowledge, mixology, and service excellence.
· Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and brand ambassadors.
· Ensure consistency of service and presentation across all bars, lounges, and dining outlets.
· Handle guest feedback and resolve issues in a professional, guest-centric manner.
· Stay updated with global beverage trends and bring innovation to the resort.
Qualifications
· Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in luxury hotels or resorts with focus on beverage operations.
· Certified Sommelier, WSET, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
· Strong knowledge of global wine regions, mixology, and non-alcoholic beverage trends.
· Proven leadership and training skills with ability to motivate and develop diverse teams.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest relations skills.
· Strong business acumen with experience in cost control and revenue generation.
· Fluency in English required; knowledge of Arabic or additional languages is an advantage.
