As an Explorer Associate, you will create a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment where children can learn, play, and build lasting memories. From creative arts and outdoor adventures to cultural experiences and wellness-inspired activities, you will help bring the Explorer to life while delivering the personalized service that defines Rosewood.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Welcome children and families with warmth, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality.
- Plan and facilitate engaging recreational, educational, creative, cultural, and wellness-inspired activities for children of different age groups.
- Always supervise children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment.
- Provide professional childcare and babysitting services when requested, following Rosewood's child safeguarding policies and parents' instructions.
- Create meaningful and personalized experiences by understanding each child's interests and encouraging participation.
- Prepare activity materials and maintain the Explorer in a clean, organized, safe, and guest-ready condition.
- Ensure accurate child registration, attendance records, and sign-in/sign-out procedures.
- Maintain toys, games, activity equipment, and facilities in excellent condition and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Support family events, seasonal celebrations, and resort-wide activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues while delivering Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Hospitality, Recreation, Education, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with children in a luxury hotel Kids Club, childcare center, nursery, school, summer camp, or recreational environment.
- Experience planning and facilitating age-appropriate recreational and educational activities.
- Previous experience providing professional childcare or babysitting services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and child safety practices.
- Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Friendly, energetic, patient, and genuinely passionate about working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Fluent spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
