About Global Sales

The Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and manages the brand’s strategic accounts who deliver significant revenues across all regions and market segments. Our team is in the key feeder markets globally where our customers are based to foster relationships and bring to life the philosophy of Relationship Hospitality through a variety of sales initiatives, branded events, and partnership activations.

Impact of this role

The Director, Global Sales, APAC, is responsible for leading the overall strategic sales direction for the APAC Global Sales Organization (GSO), by maximizing sales, revenue, and distribution initiatives, providing mentorship/support to the APAC Directors of Global Sales who service Rosewood Hotel Group’s most significant customers – with an emphasis on enhancing successful customer relationships, developing new sales distribution partnerships, driving innovative solutions, and increasing overall revenues for the brand - in addition to successfully managing an individual territory. This role will provide sales leadership to the Global Sales Organization, and counsel to the Vice President of Global Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • (30%) Support APAC Regional Team to achieve/exceed APAC GSO objectives and revenue targets to positively impact hotel revenue through focused sales activities and accountability, with an emphasis on supporting new openings and implement new strategic sales distribution partnerships to drive awareness and position Rosewood Hotel Group as the premier luxury hotel brand for customers in the APAC.
  • (20%) Maintain active and regular communication with APAC and key global hotel DOSMs to understand how APAC GSO team can support hotel efforts better and proactively find new opportunities.
  • (20%) Support a culture of cross-selling, new business development and accountability, and continuous learning and knowledge sharing across all GSO team members globally through appropriate metrics and benchmarks for success.
  • (10%) Foster and cultivate strong customer relationships by creating industry-leading sales events and programs, policies, and practices in the APAC.
  • (15%) Actively manage and develop selected strategic accounts within APAC to generate revenues, grow business and create early success for new hotels.
  • (5%) Collaborate with Vice President of Global Sales, Regional Sales Teams, and cross-functional teams to strengthen relationships with APAC Hotel’s Sales and Marketing teams, to identify and align projects, initiatives, and goals with the appropriate and timely needs of the business units.

Critical Skills & Qualification

  • Minimum of 10 years of Global Sales and/or Luxury hotel experience successfully driving sales, building client relationships, developing, and implementing strategic sales strategies.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience coaching, leading and mentoring sales teams for optimum performance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience presenting and communicating sales performance results and initiatives to senior level executives and constituents and collaborating with internal, cross-functional teams (i.e. GSO, Hotel Sales, Operations, brand, finance and legal) to provide optimal results for both the customer and the hotels.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience selling multiple properties/brands and international hotels/resorts in the luxury market.
