Job Summary 

A strategic role that participates in property pre-opening activities, coordinates annual planning processes for properties, and oversees financial systems. Will also assist with reporting and consolidation routines, and facilitates generation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual analysis as well as special reports with FP&A team. The position will provide strategic support to Senior Management in areas including but not limited to selection and implementation of financial systems, standardization of system configuration and reporting, performance analysis, industry benchmarking comparisons, development of hotel pre-opening checklists and establishing residential finance policies and procedures. This role will perform complex duties requiring professional experience, leadership skills, knowledge, and competency in areas that go beyond the traditional accounting functions.

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $180,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, location and education.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports execution of Finance Critical Path for new property openings and turn-key conversions, tracks system implementations, task-forcing, establishing standard operating procedures, and POB budgeting.
  • Launches and executes operations finance initiatives and projects directed to continuously improve and automate financial processes.
  • Provides technical expertise and leadership in selection, design, and implementation of new financials systems at properties worldwide.
  • Oversees implementation, operation and maintenance of procurement, accounting, reporting, reconciliation, planning, gift card, labor productivity and compliance systems, including system enhancements, upgrades and modifications.
  • Coordinates global consolidated financial reporting processes, scorecard rankings, analysis of KPI and benchmarking data.
  • Ensures compliance with USALI and GAAP principles, performs research on technical accounting questions and provides guidance on accounting pronouncements.
  • Develops pre-opening and operating budgets for Residential projects, establishes accounting procedures for Residential HOA.
  • Coordinates new hire onboarding processes, facilitates necessary training to new Directors of Finance Business Partners on using various financial systems, develops training manuals and quick reference sheets for systems.

Required Skills

  • Excellent finance, accounting, analytical and IT systems skills, including experience planning, reporting, and project management.
  • Deep understanding of financial systems and their implementation.
  • Experience in developing business metrics and KPIs for evaluating business trends and developing and successfully implementing new business programs and strategies.
  • Experience with complex operating and financial agreements; demonstrated success in evaluating risks and developing proactive strategies and plans to mitigate business issues.
  • Experience in managing a team within and across divisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive financial management experience.
  • Experience on hotel financial system implementations including but not limited to POS, PMS, Accounting, Reporting, Gift Card, Reconciliations, Labour Management
  • Lodging / Hospitality / Residential industry knowledge preferred.
