ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT / TEAM
The Front Office is the one of the many departments of the hotel business which directly interacts with the guests when they first arrive at the hotel. The associate is very visible and handles the transactions between the hotel and guests.

 
THE IMPACT OF THIS ROLE

Ensured quality guest service by answering guest questions and complaints, supervised front desk operations and maintained guest satisfaction.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the guest on a daily basis.

•    Assists the Director to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

•    Develops Assistant Front Office Managers through defined Key Performance Objectives and established Personal Develop Plans

•    Ability to interact with various departments to ensure all guest requests are completed

•    Constantly monitor associates performance in all phases of service and job functions. rectify any deficiencies with respective personnel to include Assistant Front Office Managers, Night Manager, Front Desk staff, Bell/Door/Elevator associate, and Concierge.

•    Supports the Director on conducting department meetings and continually communicates a clear and consistent message regarding the Front Office and hotel goals to produce desired results.

•    Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent guest service, and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations

•    Supports the Director in developing and updating policies and manuals, as related to the department, for implementation in the field, while ensuring compliance to the same for consistency across the group.

•    Actively participates in the recruitment and talent development for the department, to meet both current and future needs.

•    Support the hotel philosophy concerning hiring, employee relations, disciplinary action, training, counselling, evaluating, etc.

•    Anticipate critical situations and assist wherever necessary to alleviate the pressure and to assist the guest expediently.

 

CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Skills –

   General 

-    People person and good motivator

-    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

-    Solid leadership and training skills

-    Strong problem-solving; analytical and negotiation skills

•    Technical

-    Good knowledge of Opera PMS as well as Microsoft word/Excel/Power point

•    Language

-    Good communication skills in English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

   Physical Requirements

-    Must be able to work in different shifts when required including overnight shift.

Qualifications –

•    Hotel Management or Business Degree preferred

 Experience –

•    Minimum of 4-5 years managerial experience in large 5 star hotel/resort front office managerial operations

•    Track record in leading hotel with good standards
