The Chancery Rosewood - opening in Summer 2025, a Rosewood Hotel Group property, is housed in the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by British architect Sir David Chipperfield. It will include 144 spacious suites designed by Joseph Dirand, including a variety of dining and entertainment spaces: providing a stage for progressive ideas, voices and expression.
We are seeking a Head Porter to lead a team dedicated to ensuring impeccable cleanliness, organisation, and guest satisfaction across all guest floors, public spaces, and service areas. This is a role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values precision, and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You will play a key role in daily housekeeping operations, coaching and supporting your team, contributing to the hotel’s reputation for exceptional service and guest satisfaction. This role is due to start in June 2025.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure the highest cleanliness and quality standards are in place across all hotel areas, exceeding expectations throughout.
- Inspire and develop a dedicated team of porters, fostering a high-performance culture of excellence.
- Conduct daily inspections of public spaces, guest floors, service areas, and back-of-house operations, ensuring they consistently exceed expectations and are ready for use.
- Effectively manage guest requests, ensuring timely, accurate follow-ups and resolutions to maintain a positive guest experience.
- Oversee inventory management, ensuring adequate supplies are available and coordinating adjustments based on operational requirements.

- You have a keen eye for noticing when something isn’t as it should be and are quick to take action.
- You take the lead and are comfortable managing teams and creating a positive, productive environment.
- You are quick to think on your feet, resolving challenges efficiently and with a positive attitude.
- You understand the importance of the guest experience, striving to ensure their stay is seamless and memorable.
