OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:


The Spa Manager in charge of guaranteeing the correct operation and administration of the Spa, leading and motivating all personnel to give their best and reach their potential, communicating, implementing and reinforcing the objectives set by the Spa Manager, obtaining and optimizing resources and efforts, guaranteeing the availability of tools, work equipment and personnel training in each of their functions for the operation, making sure to maintain the established service standards.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


·          Assist the Director of Spa in ensuring the implementation of established guest service standards through proper planning, provision of tools, equipment or supplies, development or updating of procedures (SOP's), training, associate’s performance measurement, as well as involvement in situations with guests that may escalate, follow-up and resolution of such situations always looking for the causes to correct and prevent them from occurring again.

·          Assist the Director of Spa to lead the operation of the department efficiently, through proper management, motivating team members, supervising their work, seeking continuous training and measuring the Spa staff performance in order to ensure that they can accomplish all tasks in a timely and efficient manner, seeking their learning, improvement and continuous growth, as well as establishing an atmosphere of harmony  and resolving any situation that may escalate in the day to day, always looking for the causes to correct and prevent it from occurring again. Also, manage the external personnel who perform these functions, train them and ensure that they comply with the company's standards.

·          Ensure that the front of house and back of house areas and facilities (Spa, lockers, wet areas, Treatment Cabins, Salon, Fitness Center, Tennis courts, Wellness Rooms and special set-ups, storage rooms, offices and other back of house areas) are always in perfect condition and in order, according to the standards , with the correct set-up and ambiance that should create an atmosphere of peace and seclusion for guests, operating equipment in optimal conditions, sufficient supply of operating supplies according to the Resort's occupancy forecasts so that the staff can carry out their functions without any problems.

·          Assist the Director of Spa in ensuring the proper administration of the department using the resources and information at your disposal in an efficient manner, making informed decisions and with the necessary support of reports and data, seeking to minimize costs and increase the profitability of the department, anticipating the needs of the department according to occupancy forecasts, maintaining the necessary levels of inventory of supplies, equipment and professional and retail product to ensure the operation of the department.

·          Assist the Director of Spa in landing, planning, executing and following up on initiatives, projects and strategies of our own or implemented by the Spa Manager that seek new business opportunities, promotions to direct the sale of the services or products we offer, improvements in our processes to achieve greater profitability, efficiency or productivity in our processes or to solve day to day problems



EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS


       General Skills:    Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

       At least two years in a management role in SPA, Wellness, Fitness environment.

       Highly responsible, organized, and reliable


       High quality standards knowledge FORBES and LQA

       Analytical and problem-solving skills

       Results oriented

   Education: Diploma or degree in a related field, equivalent vocational training certificate. Combination of education and experience. 

     Technical Skills:

     Language:  Required to speak, read, and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.

    Physical Requirements:    Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 30 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.


Salary: $60,000-$75,000/annually
