Impact of this role
We are looking for a self-started to assist the APAC Legal and wider global Legal function in the operation, maintenance and administration of departmental affairs, handling all correspondence and information flow between departments, outside service providers and internal clients. This role will support the APAC Legal team and occasional members of Legal in other regions.

Key Responsibilities
Substantive Corporate Paralegal Work
- Support the Commercial Contracts lawyers with the review of intake form submissions by all RHG business units on our contract lifecycle management (CLM) system (a central repository of all commercial contracts entered into by RHG business units).
- Assist in distribution of documents via email to ensure proper execution, e.g., assisting with finalizing documents including execution, compilation, and distribution.
- Liaise with third-parties for preparation & filing of qualification of entities as foreign corporations in other jurisdictions, annual reports and associated filings, etc.
- Assist with management of corporate secretarial matters (e.g., appointment/resignation of directors, setting up or dissolution of legal entities, preparation of board meeting documents, annual reports/filings, etc.)
- Draft and edit non-disclosure agreements and other contract templates and prepare for attorney review, implementing further changes and comments from the relevant counsel and business contact.
- Review and proof all contracts as requested by Legal Department.
- Assist with various research and diligence efforts from time to time.
Legal Department Administration and Support
- Liaise with outside counsel and third-party vendors as necessary with respect to new vendor set up and invoicing.
- Ensure necessary licenses to use legal resources are maintained, negotiating pricing with vendors (e.g., Thomson Reuters).
- Provide administrative support to team members (e.g., word processing, document proofing, PowerPoint presentations, expense reports etc.).
- Maintenance of Legal Department files and contracts on CLM and open, organize, file, and maintain Legal Department file systems, electronic and hard copy.
- Assist other internal departments, including Finance, on KYC & audit requests.
- Help to manage the operations of the Legal Division including evaluating potential alternative or new resources for Legal Department.
Litigation/Legal Claims
- Drafting legal and litigation hold notices.
- Manage incoming notices of service of process by notifying appropriate party & assisting attorney with response as necessary.
- Coordinating between Legal and IT Departments (e.g. planning & coordinating e-discovery searches) and collecting and organizing documents in response to requests.
Critical Skills & Qualifications
Required Skills
- Significant experience using Microsoft Office products and internet research tools and databases, including Practical Law or similar. Experience with CLM platforms would be a huge plus.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to type quickly and accurately, careful proofreading and developing letters, reports etc.
- Time management, planning and organizational skills and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to meet deadlines and managing established priorities.
- Proactive listener and do-er with the confidence to ask questions and take responsibility for tasks.
- Comfortable communicating with senior level professionals across RHG and properties internationally.
- PCLL or other legal / paralegal course or qualification preferably Common Law (e.g. law degree, CILEX, Diploma in Legal Studies etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years of law firm and/or in-house legal department experience (both would be a plus).
- Able to establish relationships with internal clients, nurture respect and trust, and act with strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
- Fluent in written and verbal English. Additional language capability is a plus (e.g., Cantonese or Mandarin).
