- Lead the Talent Development strategy, ensure all talent activities are aligned with functional and business priorities
- Partner with corporate and property leadership teams to identify gaps and develop strategic initiatives to anticipate and address both current and future needs
- Bolster leadership capabilities, educate on and sustain a leadership culture around development and talent management
- Oversee Rosewood Academy, our signature internal and external development programs, to ensure all associates who seek personal and/or professional development have accessibility to resources relevant to their needs
- Oversee development, implementation, and operations of talent management programmes, systems, and processes
- Lead, implement, and monitor the organizational succession planning process and initiatives
- Oversee internal talent mapping activities, management of key talent/high-potentials review as well as accelerated development plans of key talent
- Partner with our DEI team to develop a strategic diversity plan that ensures a diverse talent pipeline reflecting the diverse communities we operate in
- Ensure performance management initiatives and cycle is integrated with the talent management agenda
- Improve organizational effectiveness through the development and deployment of solutions to enhance leadership, improve productivity, and drive a performance culture
- Lead the global talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Rosewood Hotel Group's business objectives and values
- Lead the employer brand strategy and concoct exciting tactical initiatives to communicate our unique Employee Value Propositions through targeted marketing campaigns, social media engagement, and participation in industry events to attract top talent
- Maintain a seamless and exceptional candidate experience from awareness, application through onboarding, ensuring consistent communication and engagement throughout the recruitment process
- Develop and maintain internal, external, and alumni talent communities to engage potential candidates proactively, nurturing relationships long before job openings arise
- Provide training and support to hiring managers on effective recruitment techniques and interview practices, ensuring alignment with the company’s hiring philosophy
- Establish standardized selection processes, including competency-based interviews, assessments, and background checks, to ensure fair and effective hiring practices
- Ability to establish trust and a reputation for discretion and sound judgment and advice
- Capacity to effectively initiate relationships and build rapport with senior leadership
- Knowledge of functional human resources disciplines, including staffing, learning and development, performance management,
- Skill in critical and creative thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
- Skill in strategic planning
- Skill in written and oral communication in English, Mandarin Chinese an advantage
- Is a “Brand Ambassador” at all times and ensures brand integrity and clarity are always maintained
- Models the Company’s culture, vision, mission and values at all times
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field
- 8–10 years HR experience in talent management, talent development, organization development, or learning & development preferred
