Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the senior leaders of the Talent and Culture department in the daily operations of the department. Assist in setting and implementing departmental plans related to talent acquisitions, compensations and benefits, learning development, and associate relations.
  • Manage the selection and offer processes for full time associates and casual labour to ensure proper procedures are followed (e.g. valid reasons for selection/non-selection are documented, applicants receive status notifications).
  • Partner with department managers and recruiting professionals to recruit management positions, make hiring decisions and negotiate job offers in accordance with standard of procedures.
  • Supervise the accuracy of monthly payroll administration.
  • Handle all administration works related to the medical and dental schemes are completed.
  • Manage Workmen Compensation claims to ensure they are in compliance with the local law.
  • Compile salary and headcount surveys for the Labour Department or other government bodies as necessary.
  • Assist in identifying key drivers of associate satisfaction and support managers in addressing issues with written plans and actions.
  • Maintain associate relations by actively participating and organizing activities.
  • Ensure effective associate communication channels are established and active in departments (e.g. daily line-up, monthly departmental meetings).
  • Coach managers on progressive discipline process.
  • ​​​​​​​Ensure compliance with key policies (e.g., Sexual Harassment, Non-Harassment, Non-Discrimination, No Solicitation).
  • Utilize an “open door” policy to address associate problems or concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of human resources management experience, preferably in sizeable luxury hotels.
  • High standards of professional manner with exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Bachelor degree holder in hotel, tourism, human resources management or equivalent.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Well-versed with MS Office application.
