ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Planning & Leadership
- Develop and execute a comprehensive 360-degree marketing and communications plan aligned with the hotel’s annual KPIs, business objectives, and ultra-luxury positioning.
- Actively participate in the Annual Business Plan process with the Director of Sales & Marketing and ExComm team to ensure marketing strategies support the property’s vision and revenue goals.
- Manage the annual MarComm budget, including corporate matrix recharges, focusing on ROI, investment optimization, and resource allocation.
- Track and analyze performance metrics to refine marketing strategies and present results to stakeholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to identify innovative, guest-focused marketing opportunities.
- Act as a Brand Champion, inspiring teams and collaborating with department heads to deliver dynamic guest experiences and evolve marketing strategies through innovation.
Brand Marketing, PR & Communications
- Develop and execute strategic media engagement initiatives including press trips, events, and personalized engagements, to drive brand advocacy, media exposure, and community building.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international media, influencers, and key opinion leaders to secure impactful editorial coverage across all revenue streams.
- Collaborate with the corporate Brand Marketing and Communications team to craft story angles, produce press releases, and secure global media features.
- Manage PR, agencies, overseeing RFPs, onboarding, performance tracking, and deliverables.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, ensuring timely and transparent responses to protect the hotel’s reputation both online and offline.
- Ensure quality control and proofreading of all marketing materials, maintaining consistency with brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
Integrated Marketing & Content Creation
- Partner with Operations to integrate F&B, Wellness, and Entertainment programming into holistic 360-marketing campaigns that balance tactical objectives with long-term brand goals.
- Drive brand storytelling through editorial content, partnerships, paid media, and public relations aligned with Rosewood’s creative direction.
- Plan and oversee content creation – briefing creative agencies, coordinating photo and video shoots, and producing high-quality marketing and social media assets.
- Manage website content and performance with Director of Sales & Marketing, Revenue Manager and the Corporate team, focusing on SEO, user experience, and conversion optimization.
- Integrate social, digital, and traditional media into unified campaigns to deliver cohesive messaging and measurable impact.
- Collaborate with Rosewood’s Corporate Digital and Marketing teams to execute tactical campaigns, ensuring alignment between brand storytelling and performance-driven objectives.
- Direct social media management, ensuring content quality, performance tracking, and reporting reflect the hotel’s ultra-luxury positioning.
Guest Engagement, Partnerships & Revenue Growth
- Develop and oversee CRM and EDM strategies to strengthen guest relationships, enhance personalization, and maximize revenue through targeted campaigns.
- Identify and secure strategic brand partnerships that enhance visibility, co-create unique guest experiences, and generate new revenue streams.
- Collaborate with sister hotels to develop joint marketing initiatives and represent the property at trade shows, exhibitions, client events, and group promotions to build brand synergies.
Internal Communications & Employer Branding
- Support the Talent & Culture team by promoting the hotel’s mission through internal campaigns and LinkedIn strategy to boost engagement and attract top talent.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in luxury marketing and communications, preferably within retail, entertainment, lifestyle, or luxury hospitality sectors.
- Proven track record in leading 360-degree marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, partnerships, social media, and creative campaign development.
- Strong understanding of earned, owned, and paid media channels (both online and offline) and associated tools.
- Proficient in CRM systems, lifecycle marketing strategies, email marketing, website and SEO optimization, and performance analytics.
- Skilled in stakeholder and team management, fostering collaboration to achieve shared business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate funding, and to pitch compelling business and partnership proposals.
- Expertise in managing media, social, PR, and creative agencies to ensure ROI and performance-driven outcomes.
- Experienced in budget planning, financial accountability, and optimizing resources for maximum impact.
- Adept at identifying marketing opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving co-branded initiatives that enhance visibility and create exceptional guest experiences.
- Strong familiarity with the Southeast Asia Market and an understanding of the Chinese Market, with the ability to champion marketing strategies that resonate with luxury consumers and drive engagement across the APAC region.
- Deep understanding of local and feeder markets, leveraging cultural insights and networks to inform strategic marketing decisions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate actionable insights, and develop strategies that achieve business objectives.
- Proven experience in planning and executing high-profile events, managing stakeholders, budgets, and timelines with precision.
- Forward-thinking and resourceful, with the ability to anticipate challenges, propose creative solutions, and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and composure under pressure; able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent storytelling and communication skills with native or near-native fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Deep knowledge of the luxury travel, hospitality, lifestyle, and entertainment industries, with a passion for creating meaningful guest experiences.
- Adheres to Rosewood’s grooming standards, exemplifying professionalism in both appearance and conduct.
