We are recruiting for a Director of Sales position to join the Sales & Marketing team at Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco
As Director of Sales and reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing you will contribute to the formulation of a commercial strategy covering all segments and channels to maximize revenue and profit performance of the hotel. This is a key position for supporting the growth of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco.


Job Description


- Manage and deliver results of your own accounts and markets (defined with DOSM and in light of market/hotel needs).
- Work closely with the Director of Revenue & Reservations in preparing monthly forecasts, departmental budget, effective cost controls and function space yield maximisation.
- Lead and develop a sales team to deliver the Hotel’s KPI (Key Performance Indicators – e.g. GOP, Total Revenue, ARR, Occ etc.).
- Responsible for achieving rooms’ revenues as well as the targets set by the DOSM within the year (generation of leads, prospecting, converting, competition check, team goals establishment, Employee satisfaction survey results, etc...). 
- Monitor Comp sets activities and intelligence sources to identify sources of business and prospect new leads/accounts to achieve an unfair market share.
- Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Assist in the formation of the annual department budget, and to monitor it throughout the year, reporting reasons for all variances in actual versus budget and recommending and implementing appropriate actions.
- Develop and supervise the sales team, recognizing training opportunities, organizing day-to-day operation of the office and maintaining successful communications within the team.
- Attending weekly and monthly meetings including revenue, profit & loss, marketing and head of department reviews. 


Job Requirements


- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in luxury hospitality sales, with at least 3 years in a similar managerial role.

- Familiarity with LQA/Forbes standards and operational systems like Opera PMS.

- Fluent in both Italian and English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

- A keen eye for detail, polished interpersonal skills, and a natural flair for relationship-building.

- A team player who embodies our core values and actively contributes to a positive and ambitious work culture.

- A proactive mindset with a desire to mentor others and contribute to internal development initiatives.
