THE TEAM

The Design and Project Services Department spearheads the creative development process across all brands, from pre-development through to successful completion and opening of each hotel. The team brings together a diverse, multi-skilled group of specialists who provide a comprehensive portfolio of services to support hotel owners and developers across new builds, conversions, and renovation projects.

 

YOUR ROLE

As Director, Operational Planning, Global, you play a pivotal role within Design & Project Services, partnering closely with Experience Design, Design, Operations, and other key stakeholders. You are responsible for embedding operational philosophy and standards into every project through detailed planning reviews and clear guidance to consultants. From initial concept through to hotel opening, you ensure operational requirements are seamlessly integrated and consistently delivered across all brands.

 

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Lead operational planning across all global projects and brands, working closely with owners, consultants, and internal stakeholders to uphold Rosewood Hotel Group’s operational standards.
  • Translate Experience Design vision decks into clear, actionable operational strategies for each hotel project.
  • Define and review Heart of House area programs in collaboration with the Design team, ensuring alignment from the earliest project phases.
  • Establish space and operational planning standards for Heart of House areas across brands, ensuring functionality, brand philosophy, and design standards are met.
  • Review drawings, layouts, and specifications from design and kitchen consultants, providing clear written feedback, sketches, and guidance as required.
  • Partner closely with Project Management teams to address deviations and ensure operational requirements are maintained throughout all project phases.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of Operational Design Standards and Best Practices, ensuring consistency and compliance across the portfolio.
  • Stay abreast of global operational innovations, emerging consultants, and industry best practices, bringing fresh insights into projects worldwide.

 

COULD THIS BE YOU?

  • You bring significant experience in culinary leadership within luxury and high-volume hotel environments, supported by a strong operational mindset.
  • You have been involved in new hotel openings and/or major renovations, with the ability to adapt operational plans in dynamic project settings.
  • You possess a deep understanding of current food and beverage innovations, with a focus on sustainability, efficiency, and guest experience.
  • You communicate with clarity and confidence, building strong relationships with consultants, designers, project managers, and operational teams.
  • You are comfortable using computer applications to support operational planning, documentation, and collaboration.
  • You are open to international travel as required to support global projects.
  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management or a related discipline.
