OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:

A Reservations Manager handles, professionally and effectively, customer inquiries and converts sales opportunities that emerge with Guests and customers interactions that may contribute to hotel profitability. Specifically, the Reservations Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A Reservations Manager handles, professionally and effectively, customer inquiries and converts sales opportunities that emerge with Guests and customers’ interactions that may contribute to hotel profitability. Specifically, the Reservations Manager will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Work with Sales and Marketing Teams to develop a strategic sales plan
  •     Manage the Reservations Department to meet and exceed budgeted targets
  •     Monitor revenue variance, constantly, to identify areas of concern and build an approach to maximize revenue
  •     Develop accounts, proactively, and coach the Sales Team to develop accounts successfully
  •     Seek opportunities, actively, to increase revenue
  •     Understand the competitive marketplace through analysis of trends and data and build a strategic approach to manage trends
  •     Develop the Reservations Team to ensure the constant delivery of excellent Guest and customer service
  •     Know the Competitive Set on a good basis in order to easily receive market information.
  •     Drive market share and revenue performance through proper pricing, inventory controls and mix management.
  •      Ensures the smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, effective and proper reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue in order to meet and exceed the revenue target.
  •     Maximize RevPar through the management of room inventories and market mixes.
  •     Conversion of upselling opportunities at point of reservation.
  •     Actively seek all sales and revenue opportunities both internal and external to increase the profile of the hotel.
  •     Consult with Sales Managers on rate / inventory suitability of all potential group business, oversee the management of the group block, cut off dates, rooming lists, group block activity.
  •     Responsible for effective implementation and compliance with Rosewood Revenue Management standards.
  •     Complete understanding of the reservation system and all reports that are purchased for competitive analysis.
  •     Compliance to standards for rate plans, rate categories, market segment set-up, inventory classification.
  •     Ensure Best Rate Guarantee compliance and maintain rate parity agreements with third parties.
  •     Join the properties weekly revenue meeting.
  •     Ensure bookings are guaranteed and no show charges/late cancellation charges are applied where appropriate; and Reservations policies and procedures are followed to ensure Guest satisfaction
  •     Train reservations team member on answering phone skills, and comply with all the standards set by Rosewood Hotels Group.
  •     Any ad-hoc duties assigned by superior.


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  •     Organizational / hands on and time management skills
  •     Ability to analyse financial statements
  •     Negotiation skills
  •     Computer literate (Word/Excel/PP)
  •     Opera, Cendyn
  •     Analytical skills necessary to generate and interpret reports.
  •     Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  •     Results orientated
  •     Proactive personality (Takes initiative)

Experience:
Minimum 3 years of related work experience, preferably in hotels

Salary: $80,000-$90,000/annually + Potential for Incentive
