About the Role

The Assistant Director of Talent & Culture will be responsible for leading with the Director of Talent & Culture, the creation of a high performing team of HR professionals. This role will ensure that all associates across the property receive best in class service; including but not limited to recruitment and talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, training and development, performance management, engagement and employee relations management. They will support in bringing to life Rosewoods core values. They will resonate with Rosewoods relationship hospitality principle and be a true brand ambassador.

This role will be instrumental in supporting leaders to develop a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and excellence. The Assistant Director of Talent & Culture will need to be strategically minded, resourceful and an influencer who can develop and guide others in an authentic way. They should be excited by the prospect of being  part of an opening team whose mission is to create a culture where all associates can be their best self’s.

 

Alongside the Talent & Culture Director implement all Rosewood policies in accordance with the company's vision, mission, and strategies as well as local labour laws

• Support in the creation, development of any local and property specific policies and processes.

• Be a trusted advisor and ensure you provide strategic leadership across the organisation on all People-related issues

• Develop and execute HR strategies that support our business objectives and promote a high-performance culture with a focus on delivering excellence

• Enhance employee experience by working with individuals at all levels to implement and further develop D&I initiatives that promote diversity, inclusivity, engagement, and growth.

• Provide advisory support to managers and supervisors in all areas, such as performance management, discipline, grievance, maternity, paternity, equal opportunities and employment law following Company policy and legal requirements

• Partner with leaders to design, implement and communicate effective processes that are up to date, legally compliant and deliver a positive impact; ensuring they are followed and well documented.

• Alongside the Talent & Culture Director, creation and delivery of the talent acquisition plan for the hotel opening.

• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the talent acquisition lifecycle such as agreeing sourcing strategies, candidate management, scheduling and interviewing, guidance and ad-vice to line management, supplier liaison and management and finalising terms of offer with-in agreed approval processes

• Partner with peers and business leaders on strategic initiatives to enhance our early career activities and to deliver meaningful candidate experiences

• Work with the Director of Talent & Culture to build relationships with universities and schools to partner on early career activities, including coordination and execution of events and marketing activities as required

 About you

A proven leader, who’s managed a team and has developed talent.

• Relevant experience within hotels or hospitality is advantageous 

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role

Strong knowledge of employment law, both in theory and its practical application

Passionate about the entire employee life cycle

A natural coach with proven experience of working alongside a wide range of stakeholders

Preferably you’ll have had expose of experience of being part of a pre-opening team.
