About the Role

As Director of Housekeeping, you will create and manage a high performing Housekeeping team that delivers an exceptional guest experience. With previous experience as a Director of Housekeeping in a luxury hotel, your attention to detail and passion will motivate your team to achieve ambitious targets. As a natural leader, you will be collaborative and hands on, supporting and mentoring your team.  


Key Responsibilities  

  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures, policies and best practices.
  • You will embody the values of Rosewood and The Chancery Rosewood, constantly looking for ways to enhance the guest experience, build relationships, and create an excellent working environment.
  • Contribute to the collective commitment of a unique guest experience and a sense of place.
  • Drive the performance of the Housekeeping department, ensuring the team delivers the highest quality in relation to Forbes, LQA and Rosewood Brand Standards.
  • Participate in the preparation of the hotel’s annual goals. Prepare the Housekeeping department budget, including all expenses, revenues and labour.
  • Control labour and operating expenses through effective planning, budgeting, purchasing decisions, policy making, and inventory control, while focusing on creative cost control and revenue generation solutions to maximize profit in the department and the hotel.
  • Take ownership of any Housekeeping guest complaints and comments, and find a proper resolution to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Lead the recruitment, training and development, performance, and standards for the Housekeeping team.
  • Maintain close relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring that expected levels of quality are continuously met.
 

About you

  • Experience leading a Housekeeping team in a 5-star hotel.
  • Meticulous with a great eye for detail.
  • A collaborative and hands on leader, with a passion for your team.
  • Preferably you’ll have experience being part of a pre-opening team.
  • Demonstrate Rosewoods core values and truly be able to share and express your passion for your industry.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modelling inclusive behaviours.
