Descripción del trabajo

The Chancery Rosewood, is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.

As a Duty Security Officer, you will play a vital role in protecting our guests, associates, and property while delivering the warm, intuitive service that defines Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality. This position combines operational leadership with exceptional guest engagement, requiring someone who is calm under pressure, confident in decision-making, and committed to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. If you take pride in leading by example, acting with integrity, and ensuring security is delivered with professionalism and care, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Security team during your shift, ensuring the safety and security of all guests, associates, and the property while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Respond decisively to security incidents, emergencies, fire alarms, and other critical situations, following established emergency procedures and providing clear leadership throughout.

Assess, investigate, and report security risks, incidents, thefts, criminal offences, and safety hazards, ensuring accurate records are maintained and appropriate action is taken.

Conduct regular patrols throughout the property, ensuring fire doors, escape routes, and emergency access points remain compliant and unobstructed.

Manage key control systems, support secure cash movements, and maintain all security documentation to the required standard.

Liaise professionally with police, emergency services, and government agencies when required.

Support the delivery of security-related training to associates and contribute to ongoing safety awareness across the hotel.

Ensure all lost property is recorded, stored, and communicated in line with hotel procedures.

About You

Connection — You are a true ‘people person’ who understands that security is also about service. You build trust with guests and colleagues naturally, making people feel safe and welcomed from the very first interaction.

Guest-Centricity — You bring warmth and professionalism to every encounter, recognising that a Security Guard is often a guest’s first and last point of contact — and that first impressions matter deeply.

Influencing — You are a strong, decisive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to de-escalate difficult situations with confidence and composure, and to lead by example in moments that require clarity and calm.

Integrity — You act with the highest standards of discretion, accountability, and professionalism at all times — whether handling sensitive incidents, supporting colleagues, or upholding the hotel’s values when no one is watching.

Drive — You bring focus, energy, and a proactive mindset to every shift, anticipating risks before they arise and always looking to raise the standard of safety and service across the property.

Adaptability — You thrive in a dynamic, 24/7 environment, working confidently across rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and adjusting swiftly to the evolving needs of a world-class luxury hotel.

SIA certification is preferred. A valid First Aid at Work certificate (minimum 3 days) is required.
