We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Housekeeping Manager to join our team and help lead our housekeeping department in maintaining our reputation for excellence.

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will work closely with the Housekeeping Manager to oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department. This role involves ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities, all while maintaining the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

What you will do

We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic leader to deliver timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.

• Maintaining luxury standard of suites and public areas
• Performing room inspections
• Ensuring productivity and efficiency in line with Housekeeping targets
• Management and training of Health & Safety regulations
• Support manager with performance management (including daily rostering and timesheet approvals) as required
• Ordering of supplies
• Assist in recruitment where required
• Motivational leadership of a team of Housekeeping Attendants

What you will bring

The successful candidate will have:

• A passion for service delivery and the hospitality industry
• Cleaning experience, ideally in a 4/5 star Hotel/Resort environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate and drive a team
• At least 18 months management or supervisory level experience in a comparable environment
• A high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills 
• Relevant Hotel Management (or similar) qualifications
• Flexibility - able to work shifts, including weekends
