About the Role: 

This is a great opportunity for a professional and motivated individual to step up and take daily charge. We are seeking a hands-on, enthusiastic and energetic leader to deliver timely cleaning, staff training, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.  

 You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department, delivering timely cleaning, thorough inspections and consistently high standards.  In addition, you will be responsible for: 

• recruitment, 

• maintaining high standard of our luxury suites and public areas, 

• leadership of the Housekeeping Team, ensuring productivity is in line with forecast

• Training to the LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) standards for audit purposes 

• efficient management of an on-site laundry operation, 

• health & safety (including chemical registers), 

• and departmental financial controls (forecasting, budget preparation, labour and supplies). 

About you: 

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated and able to use their initiative. Financial acumen, reporting, computer skills, rostering and ability to place orders based on inventory needs are essential. 

For this important position, candidates must have previous Housekeeping Management experience at a luxury hotel or lodge, a proven record of training and developing strong housekeeping teams and evidence of an uncompromising attention to detail.  In addition, you will have.

• A passion for service delivery and the Hospitality Industry 

• A minimum of 3 years relevant hospitality experience

• Experience of managing a housekeeping team in a high end / luxury property (essential for understanding and leading standards)

• Ability to train and grow a team of mixed skill levels 

• Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems  

• Strong and effective communication skills  

• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment

• Exceptional organisational skills  

• Relevant tertiary level qualifications (i.e. hospitality management) will be an advantage

• And a winning personality, with the ability to surprise and delight!

What we offer:  

This is a full time, salaried position, offering $75,000 - $80,000 per annum gross, depending on experience. The hours of work are 45 over 5 days per week. There is an opportunity to accrue time in lieu for any hours worked on additional days of the week.
