Rosewood Miramar Beach, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an exceptional Tray Pick Up Attendant. The Tray Pick Up Attendant will be responsible for collecting soiled dishes from guest rooms and closets, breaking down all China and glassware and maintaining a neat and tidy working environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service, procedures, and standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
- Anticipate guest and residents’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guest and residents, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest and resident relations at all times.
- Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest and resident inquiries accurately.
- Resolve guest and resident complaints, ensuring guest and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Maintain complete knowledge of guest and resident room layout, locations and room numbers/names.
- Fully understand the use of radios and KNOWCROSS for completing guest requests and for communication with Order taker / manager on duty.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of all service areas, guest and resident rooms and guest and resident corridors.
- Enter the guest and resident room and remove the table/tray by following the established departmental procedures.
- Complete closing side duties:
- Properly store all reusable goods.
- Breakdown all equipment (Dishes and Glassware).
- Clean all equipment as assigned in the side duties.
- Remove all dirty linen; fold napkins.
- Reset tables/trays for the next shift.
- Wipe down all Mats, Tray Liner, and Trays
- Complete guest requests as delegated by the Order taker and the manager on duty i.e. Ice buckets, ice packs, glassware/china.
- Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members.
- Respond in courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties.
- Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
- Maintain clean and safe work area.
- Models the company’s culture, vision, mission and core values at all times.
- Opening & Closing Side Work, Cleanliness:
- Ensure thorough completion of opening, ongoing, and closing side work as per checklists.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the golf cart, service areas, and outlet overall.
- Execute daily and weekly cleaning duties, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene are met consistently.
Confidentiality: While working for the company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information concerning the company, guests and associates. It is vital that all such information remains confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and associates, unless otherwise stated
General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in job functions with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain coordination.
- Knowledge Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; ability to prioritize, organize and follow through; ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment; ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests request.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions; ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision; ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
- Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions.
- Ability to maintain good coordination; ability to transport cases of received goods to the workstation; ability to work a 6–8-hour shift in hot, noisy and sometimes close conditions.
Language: Proficiency in English is required, with fluency in additional languages being an advantage.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting 50 pounds, endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
- Kitchen Environment- constantly exposed to heat, high cold, slippery surfaces and appliances such as stove, oven, dishwasher, cooking top, as well as cleaning tools.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent education and experience.
- Must possess a current Food Handler Certificate.
Experience:
- Minimum two years’ experience in restaurant service.
- Hotel operational exposure (i.e. F&B) is preferred.
- Experience with a luxury or ultra-luxury property or brand is preferred.
