OUR PURPOSE AND CULTURE
We are driven to create a future where people and place enrich one another. We are wholly committed to rooting ourselves more deeply in every place we are in while setting new benchmarks for positive impact.
As a pioneering collective with a common purpose, we curate extraordinary moments and honor the soul of every place along our journey. At Rosewood Hotel Group, we answer The Calling. Together, we Make the Place.
THE PROPERTY
A secluded sanctuary in Okinawa, Rosewood Miyakojima is defined by its deep connection to nature, culture, and community. Set on a remote peninsula, the resort’s 55 ocean-facing villas, each with a private pool, offer an intimate canvas shaped by the rhythm of the sea, the purity of the landscape, and the quiet beauty of island life.
Purpose is expressed through authenticity of place. Rooted in the Ryukyuan philosophy of longevity and wellbeing, the resort brings local traditions to life through Asaya wellness, immersive cultural experiences, and a deep respect for the island’s ecological and cultural heritage. From marine conservation to traditional crafts, each touchpoint reflects a commitment to preserving and celebrating Miyakojima’s identity.
Operating in a remote and evolving market, Rosewood Miyakojima is also a platform for meaningful impact—building opportunities through people, nurturing a strong sense of community among associates, and shaping the brand’s presence in Japan with intention. Defined not by scale but by depth, the property embodies a more personal form of luxury, where connection, storytelling, and cultural integrity sit at the heart of every experience.
