THE IMPACT OF THIS ROLE
The Retail Assistant Manager is a key operational and team leader of the resort’s retail division. This role combines strategic retail leadership with hands-on oversight of administrative, inventory, and sales functions. The Retail Assistant Manager will ensure smooth daily operations, consistent brand representation, and high-quality guest experiences across all stores.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Leads and supervises the retail team, including organizing daily briefings, setting team goals, assigning responsibilities, and ensuring accountability. Oversees the development and execution of work schedules and manages shift coverage. Conducts training on sales techniques, product knowledge, and operational procedures. Provides guidance to maintain consistent service aligned with luxury hospitality standards.
· Monitors and drives sales performance by analyzing KPIs, reviewing daily and monthly sales reports, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue. Ensures a high level of guest satisfaction through quality service delivery. Maintains visual merchandising standards in alignment with brand guidelines and seasonal updates.
· Manages inventory operations including stock levels, product transfers, returns, tagging, and pricing accuracy. Ensures POS and inventory systems are kept up to date. Oversees administrative functions such as timekeeping, minor payroll inputs, and preparation of retail reports.
· Coordinates with external suppliers for merchandise delivery, product tagging, and display. Collects feedback on product performance and communicates purchasing insights. Collaborates with the Director on assortment planning, product curation, and special brand partnerships.
· Maintains overall store standards, appearance, and cleanliness. Ensures compliance with internal policies, safety regulations, and brand identity requirements. Identifies and addresses operational issues and proposes process improvements as needed.
CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management or assistant management, ideally in luxury or resort retail.
· Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Proficient in POS and inventory software.
· Detail-oriented with administrative competence and multitasking capabilities.
· Fluent in Spanish and English.
