What You Will Do

• Lead and manage the in-house engineering oversight team, including one Assistant Manager, to supervise the performance and deliverables.
• Act as the primary internal owner for engineering service delivery, ensuring outsourced works are completed on time, within budget, and to required technical and quality standards.
• Establish clear governance processes for outsourced engineering activities, including reporting cadence, escalation procedures, issue tracking, and review meetings with the outsourced vendor.
• Monitor vendor performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, work scope, service quality, response time, and contract obligations, and drive corrective actions where performance gaps arise.
• Review engineering proposals, technical submissions, work methods, designs, maintenance plans, variation requests, and project schedules submitted by the outsourced vendor before approval or recommendation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align outsourced engineering work with business priorities, operational requirements, budgets, safety expectations, and service continuity needs.
• Manage engineering risks, service issues, operational disruptions, and contractor-related non-compliance, and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, and progress tracking for all outsourced engineering workstreams under the company’s responsibility.
• Lead regular performance and governance meetings with the outsourced vendor, documenting actions, decisions, open issues, and follow-up items.
• Ensure proper contract administration, including scope control, change management, deliverable acceptance, and support for renewals or dispute resolution when needed.
• Maintain technical standards, engineering documentation, and compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, safety, and company policy requirements.
• Support budget planning, cost control, invoice verification, and assessment of value-for-money for outsourced engineering services.
• Coach and guide the Assistant Manager to ensure effective day-to-day monitoring, reporting, site coordination, and follow-up with the outsourced vendor.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering governance, vendor management processes, service quality, and operational efficiency.

What You Should Have

• Degree in Engineering, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8–10 years of relevant engineering or technical operations experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Experience overseeing outsourced contractors, service providers, or engineering vendors is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering operations, maintenance or project delivery, technical review, and quality control.
• Proven experience in contractor or vendor performance management, governance meetings, KPI tracking, and contract compliance monitoring.
• Strong planning, budgeting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination capability.
• Ability to assess technical submissions, identify gaps, and ensure deliverables meet company requirements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, escalation handling, and problem-solving skills.
