Rosewood Hotel Georgia, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an exceptional and multi-talented Senior Events Sales Manager. The Senior Events Sales Manager is entrusted with oversight of all revenue and service objectives for the Event Sales portfolio at Rosewood Hotel Georgia. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, this role provides inspired leadership and daily direction to the Event Sales team, ensuring the strategic optimization of function space, revenue, and profitability while delivering experiences that reflect Rosewood’s A Sense of Place® and thoughtful luxury. Balancing commercial acumen with refined hospitality, the Senior Events Sales Manager cultivates meaningful client relationships and leads the thoughtful curation and flawless execution of events, elevating the guest journey and reinforcing the hotel’s position as a premier luxury destination for distinctive events.

 

Strategic Planning & Financial Performance:

  • Responsible for short- and long-term strategic planning and overall management of Local Sales & Event Services.
  • Consistently meets or exceeds budgeted sales targets and profitability goals across all Event Services segments.
  • Develops and implements structured sales strategies to maximize room nights, function space utilization, and total hotel revenue.
  • Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals in alignment with the approved budget.
  • Identifies and executes upsell opportunities and ancillary revenue streams to enhance overall hotel profitability.
  • Develops event forecasts in collaboration with the event team for presentation to the Director of Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Revenue Management, ensuring alignment with revenue objectives.

 

Sales & Market Development:

  • Partners with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop and execute strategic marketing initiatives that drive Local Sales and Event Services revenue.
  • Conducts weekly local sales calls to generate new business and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts.
  • Ensures the Events team is equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and support to achieve revenue and performance objectives.

 

Event Services Leadership & Team Management:

  • Supervises, trains, and develops the Event Services team to maximize productivity and optimize the use of the hotel’s function space.
  • Assigns contracted groups based on business volume, client needs, and team workload to ensure balanced performance.
  • Establishes and enforces Local Sales & Event Services standards, including sales, planning, marketing, servicing, and administrative procedures.
  • Cultivates long-term, value-driven customer relationships to support overall hotel sales objectives.
  • Collaborates closely with Food & Beverage and Banquet leadership to ensure seamless communication and flawless execution of contracted event details.
  • Conducts regular Event Services meetings to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistent communication.
  • Ensures all events and group bookings are accurately maintained in PMS and Salesforce systems.

 

Client Experience & Event Execution:

  • Conducts property-wide site tours for prospective and existing clients, effectively showcasing the hotel’s offerings.
  • Provides creative, customized planning support and on-site event execution to enhance the guest experience and drive incremental revenue.
  • Identifies innovative service approaches and creative solutions to exceed client expectations.
  • Ensures all event programs are delivered to luxury service standards, maintaining exceptional experiences for both internal and external guests.

 

Service Excellence & Brand Standards:

  • Oversees the execution of event programs from initial inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring accurate communication of client requirements to operational teams.
  • Leads pre- and post-event meetings, billing reviews, invoicing accuracy, and the assessment of cancellation and attrition charges to ensure timely and profitable outcomes.
  • Chairs weekly sales and operations meetings to align teams on group requirements and execution priorities.
  • Acts as a brand ambassador, reinforcing service excellence, professionalism, and attention to detail across all guest touchpoints.
  • Provides leadership and performance management for Event Sales associates, including coaching, performance reviews, and corrective action in accordance with company policies and employment standards.
  • Supports departmental engagement, training, and quality initiatives, including LQA, Associate Engagement Surveys, and brand training programs in partnership with the Training Manager.
  • Ensures payroll accuracy, attendance compliance, and active participation in required management and operations meetings.
  • Coaches and counsels associates to optimize performance, applying progressive discipline when necessary in accordance with Employment Standards legislation and the Associate Handbook.


Critical Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressive hotel sales experience, including experience in a senior or independently managed sales role.


Education: Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Business, Sales, Marketing or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.  

 

Language:  Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

 

General Skills: Strong computer knowledge in Windows environment as well as proficiency in property management system and catering management systems (preferably Opera and Sales Force). The Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) designation will be an asset.

 

Confidentiality: Maintains strict confidentiality of guest and hotel business information.

The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $95,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. If applicable: This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, location, and education.
