Role

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Engineering team at Rosewood London. Our Engineering Manager is appointed to assist the Assistant Director of Engineering in overseeing the day to day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel. 

Key expectations of this role are

• Continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and associates.
• Analysing problems and to formulate plans to ensure tasks are done efficiently including procurement of materials.
• Managing repair and maintenance projects and building improvements by effectively coordinating and planning all tasks in advance of beginning any project.  
• Maintaining effective communication both within the department and to other departments and ensure the director is kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.
• Taking full ownership of all preventive maintenance programs.
• Supervising and scheduling the Engineering team to ensure tasks and projects are complete within the given time frame.

Profile

• Paying close attention to detail by not comprising on quality standards.
• Having formally certified knowledge of at least one of the key areas of engineering.
• Being self-motivated and proactive in managing your tasks.
• Experience at a supervisory level within Engineering in an upscale operation.
• Possessing in depth understanding of a hotel’s engineering. 
• Thoughtfully exercising initiative in decision-making.
• A good understanding of leading and developing people effectively.
