The Public Area Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and upkeep of assigned restrooms and guest toilets in line with the approved cleaning procedures of the Housekeeping Department. This role involves maintaining hygiene standards, replenishing guest supplies, reporting maintenance issues promptly, and providing courteous assistance to guests. By adhering to proper cleaning techniques and safety protocols, the Public Area Attendant plays a vital role in upholding the hotel’s reputation for quality service and guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify safety hazards and maintain high standards of cleanliness. A friendly, customer-focused demeanor is essential for interacting positively with guests. Candidates must be able to read and store chemical agents safely, manage time efficiently, and follow established cleaning procedures. 

This position requires professionalism, courtesy, and a commitment to guest comfort. The Public Area Attendant is expected to greet guests warmly, assist with restroom amenities, and ensure supplies are consistently available. Responsibilities also include recording supply consumption, surrendering lost and found items promptly, and preparing reports at the end of each shift. Flexibility to perform additional housekeeping duties, adherence to hotel policies, and maintaining personal grooming standards are essential. By promoting teamwork and consistently delivering high-quality service, the Public Area Attendant contributes to the overall efficiency and positive image of the hotel.
