OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
The Wellness Attendant serves as a vital link between the guest and Asaya Spa, overseeing guest needs
throughout their visit and delivering attentive, personalized service that ensures comfort, privacy, and
continuity. This role is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and
presentation across all Asaya Spa and wellness areas, while supporting Wellness Therapist and
Concierges, Movement Coaches, and Visiting/Resident Practitioner’s in daily operations. With a critical
eye for detail and a thorough understanding of all Asaya Spa facilities, equipment, and services, the
Wellness Attendant ensures that every guest experience reflects Rosewood culture of gracious hospitality
and Asaya commitment to intuitive, elevated wellbeing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Care & Service Excellence
- Provide courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, maintaining a calm and racious demeanor regardless of workload.
- Welcome guests warmly and escort them to Treatment and Consultation Rooms, Hammam, Lounges, Fitness Areas, Movement/Yoga Pavilions, Social House, Asaya Lounge and Changing Facilities, ensuring comfort, discretion, and privacy.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to all requests or enquiries, maintaining positive guest relations throughout the visit.
- Establish rapport with guests, supporting recognition and personalized service on future visits by assisting in collecting and updating guest preferences.
- Respond confidently to guest enquiries regarding all Asaya Spa facilities, services, fitness programs, and resort amenities.
- Provide facility orientation to first-time guests, including correct attire, Asaya Spa etiquette, and treatment-specific guidance. Spa Cleanliness, Hygiene & Presentation
- Maintain exceptional levels of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across all Asaya Spa, Fitness Areas (including locker rooms, showers, toilets, mirrors, floors, saunas, steam Rooms, Relaxation lounges), Public Areas, Consultations Rooms, Asaya Lounge, Corridors, Associates Room Dispensary, Changing Rooms, and all Asaya Spa back-of-the house.
- Inspect all Asaya Spa, Fitness Areas (including locker rooms, showers, toilets, mirrors, floors, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation lounges), Public Areas, Consultations Rooms, Asaya Lounge, Corridors, Associates Room Dispensary, Changing Rooms, and all Asaya Spa back-of-the house at the start, during, and end of each shift to ensure full compliance with established standards.
- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect all reusable Asaya Spa items and surfaces in accordance with Rosewood and local health authority requirements.
- Execute Asaya Spa standards in the setup of amenities, décor, and ambience across all guest?facing areas.
Operational & Team Support
- Support Wellness Therapists, Movement Coaches, Visiting/Resident Practitioners, Anchor Coaches, and Spa Management Team with guest flow, room readiness, and daily Asaya Spa operations.
- Assist guests in the Fitness Area with basic fitness-related needs and orientation.
- Provide service support in the Asaya Lounge or lounge areas when required, including taking orders and serving Asaya Spa refreshments in line with Rosewood standards.
- Assist with collecting, unpacking, and organizing Asaya Spa deliveries.
- Perform opening and closing procedures, ensuring facilities are safe, stocked, and prepared for operation.
- Cover the Atelier or Wellness Concierge breaks when required. Training & Professional Standards
- Assist with training and development of colleagues when required.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions, briefings, and meetings.
- Always uphold a polished professional image, reporting to work punctually, in correct uniform, and well-groomed according to Rosewood AMAALA guidelines.
- Model and reinforce Rosewood AMAALA’s core values, service culture, and commitment to excellence.
Safety, Compliance, Emergency Procedures & Standards
- Adhere strictly to KSA regulations, health and safety standards, Fire Life Safety, and emergency
- procedures and Rosewood’s Forbes and LQA service benchmarks.
- In the event of a fire alarm or emergency, calmly notify the department and ensure evacuation to the designated assembly point in line with hotel policy.
- Handle emergency situations calmly and report incidents promptly to management and security.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and compliance with all Rosewood and Asaya Spa SOPs, service standards, and operating procedures Use all equipment correctly and only as intended; report any damage or malfunction immediately.
- Check the condition of Asaya Spa facilities and equipment and report any damage or hazards immediately to the Supervisor or Spa Management Team or Engineering team.
- Respect guest privacy at all times, particularly in changing rooms and wet areas.
General Duties – Asaya Spa Associate Standards
- Act as a brand ambassador, consistently reflecting Rosewood AMAALA’s values, culture, and service philosophy.
- Maintain impeccable grooming, personal hygiene, correct uniform, and name badge at all times.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with the Spa Management Team, and colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Report guest feedback, comments, or complaints promptly to Spa Management Team.
- Liaise effectively with other hotel departments to support seamless guest experiences.
- Foster positive, cooperative working relationships across all teams.
- Report for duty punctually and attend all required briefings, meetings, and training sessions.
- Maintain positive, cooperative working relationships with colleagues across all departments.
- Demonstrate a positive, motivated attitude and exercise self-control at all times.
- Undertake any reasonable tasks or secondary duties assigned by Spa Management in support of smooth operations and exceptional guest experience.
- As the hotel’s level of business varies considerably, there is a need for flexibility in attitude, approach and working hours.
HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take reasonable care of personal health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Fully comply with the Hotel’s H&S policies, procedures, and operational instructions.
- Report hazards, incidents, and work-related injuries immediately.
- Participate in H&S planning, training, inductions, and safety briefings as required.
- Never misuse or interfere with safety equipment, machinery, or PPE.
ACCOUNTABILITY
- Accountable for compliance with Rosewood AMAALA policies, H&S procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Responsible for personal conduct, safety, and contribution to a safe and harmonious workplace.
- Reports to the Spa Supervisor or Wellness Manager.

Whist working for the company there will be access to a wide variety of confidential information
concerning the company, guests and associates. It is vital that all such information remains confidential
and must not be disclosed to anyone outside the company, guests and employees, unless otherwise stated.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Spa or Wellness Attendant in a 5-star hotel or luxury spa environment.
Education
- Secondary school education required.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up on tasks independently.
- Calm, clear thinker with good judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Strong service orientation with an understanding of guest needs.
- Ability to work cohesively within a team with minimal supervision.
- Discretion and confidentiality when handling guest information.
Language
- Basic spoken and written English required.
- Additional languages are an advantage.
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand and move throughout the Asaya Spa and wellness areas for extended periods.
- Capable of bending, reaching, and handling light physical tasks as required.
- Must be able to always communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
