The Bartender is responsible for delivering world-class beverage experiences in accordance with Rosewood standards and the prestige of our bars. This role goes beyond mixing drinks : it requires creativity, precision, and the ability to create authentic connections with guests, anticipating their preferences and crafting memorable moments. The Bartender also demonstrates awareness of sustainability practices in daily operations, supporting the resort’s commitment to environmental responsibility. Flexibility is essential, as the Bartender may assist on the floor or perform other operational tasks as required.
OPERATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain expert knowledge of beverage menus, wine lists, and cocktail recipes to assist guests and make personalized recommendations.
- Prepare and serve drinks according to Rosewood standards and the excellence expected of a world-class bar.
- Create genuine connections with guests, ensuring their experience feels personal and memorable.
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and stocked at all times, minimizing waste and following sustainability guidelines.
- Follow opening and closing procedures for the bar and assist with outlet checklists when required.
- Handle guest requests and feedback courteously, informing the Lead Bartender or Manager of any issues requiring follow-up.
- Promote upselling of premium spirits, wines, and signature cocktails in a thoughtful and guest-focused manner.
- Assist on the floor during peak periods or when operational needs require.
- Ensure personal grooming and professional appearance standards are met.
- This position may include duties beyond those outlined above, based on the operational needs of the department or resort.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with colleagues and assist during peak service periods.
- Participate in pre-service briefings and training sessions.
- Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment.
- Support sustainability initiatives by reducing waste, conserving resources, and encouraging responsible practices among peers.
QUALIFICATIONS & PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine, with creativity and precision in preparation.
- Excellent communication skills and guest-oriented attitude.
- Ability to create authentic guest connections and deliver personalized service.
- Awareness of sustainability practices in hospitality.
- English proficiency, to be evaluated by HR.
- Professional appearance and willingness to learn and grow.
