Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Service Excellence & Team Supervision

    Ensure that the dining room delivers high-quality service aligned with the Resort’s brand promise.

    Supervise the Associate Dining Room Attendant team, providing support and guidance to achieve daily service goals.

    Take ownership of handling associate complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.

    Model exceptional behavior to motivate staff and uphold hospitality standards.

    Ensure that the Associate Dining Room policy is adhered to

    Regularly gather associate feedback through surveys and informal channels to generate ideas and insights for improving Associate Dining Room experience.

    Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, making My Associate Dining Room a comfortable space for all associates. 

    Regularly promote healthy eating and wellness practices at My Associate Dining Room through effective communication initiatives.


Operations & Inventory Management

    Maintain complete knowledge of the dining room’s capacity, layout, and service times.

    Oversee table settings, beverage stations, and display setups according to service standards.

    Ensure coffee and beverage supplies are consistently ordered, replenished, and available for smooth operations.

    Conduct daily inspections of the dining area, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.

    Manage inventory of condiments, coffee, and tea supplies, ensuring stock levels align with operational needs.

    Collaborate with culinary teams and suppliers to maintain quality, variety, and efficient stock management. 

    Coordinate with Senior Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef bi-weekly meal plans for associates

    Coordinated with Senior Sous Chef and Executive Sous Chef for specialty Associate Dining Room offerings through themed dining concept


Opening & Closing Procedures

    Oversee the setup of service stations, ensuring proper presentation of condiments, beverages, and tableware.

    Complete opening duties, including:

o    Ensuring all necessary supplies are transported from the storeroom.

o    Checking stock levels and organizing beverages (tea, coffee, syrups).

o    Setting tables according to service standards.


    Manage closing tasks, including:

o    Storing all reusable goods properly.

o    Cleaning and resetting tables for the next meal period.

o    Restocking and organizing all beverage stations.

o    Complete all closing reports assigned.


Associate Engagement 

    Manage bulletin boards, digital screens, or other spaces to share important associate information. 

    Plan and promote monthly cafeteria events to foster team engagement, encourage social interaction, and enhance the overall dining experience.

    Spearheaded the decoration, and enhancement of Associate Dining Room for holidays and special events (such as BVI Culture Month, Christmas).

    Support any related Talent & Culture Associate engagement initiatives


Qualifications & Experience

    Experience: Two - Three years’ experience in hospitality industry 

    3–5 years of experience in food service mandatory

    Proven experience in supervising and developing teams 

    Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations. 

    Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer service. 

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. 

    Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a guest-focused mindset. 

    Must be computer literate, with familiarity in Microsoft office 

    Experience in creating a positive and welcoming environment for diverse groups of associates. 

    Education: Must have completed secondary school education and preferably received a college education or taken applicable continuing education courses. Be able to demonstrate strong Mathematical and English language skills (spelling and grammar) 

    A proven ability to lead, manage and motivate a team of people.  

    General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data. Must have good eye for detail and be accurate and thorough in one’s work with good follow up.  

    Language: Required to speak, read and write English
