THE TEAM

As a key member of the Talent & Culture Division, the Talent Development Manager supports the strategy and execution of learning, development, and people-related initiatives across Rosewood Calistoga. Reporting to the Director of Talent & Culture, this role partners closely with department leaders, operational teams, and the Executive Committee to support workforce readiness, associate engagement, and long-term talent development.

The Talent & Culture team serves as a trusted partner and culture champion for the property, helping to attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent while fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace aligned with Rosewood’s values and philosophy of Relationship Hospitality.

YOUR ROLE

As Talent Development Manager, you will design, coordinate, facilitate, and evaluate learning and development initiatives that support the successful opening and ongoing operation of Rosewood Calistoga. You will ensure associates at every level receive meaningful learning experiences that strengthen guest service, operational excellence, leadership effectiveness, and associate engagement.

You will lead key programs including onboarding, compliance training, brand immersion, leadership development, departmental skills training, and succession planning. Working closely with operational leaders and the Executive Committee, you will help cultivate a high-performance culture while supporting workforce readiness and long-term talent development strategies.

This role is instrumental in creating an exceptional associate experience that supports both operational excellence and Rosewood’s commitment to Relationship Hospitality.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE THE PLACE

  • Develop and execute the property's learning and development strategy, ensuring all initiatives align with business objectives, operational priorities, Rosewood culture, and brand standards.
  • Partner with department leaders to identify learning opportunities, create targeted development solutions, and establish meaningful learning pathways that support career growth and operational success.
  • Design, facilitate, and deliver engaging learning programs for associates, supervisors, managers, future leaders, and Executive Committee successors.
  • Lead Discovery and onboarding experiences that create a strong foundation for new associates while supporting retention, engagement, and long-term success.
  • Administer learning systems, compliance programs, training records, certifications, reporting, and dashboards that measure learning effectiveness and organizational readiness.
  • Champion associate engagement, recognition, communication, and culture-building initiatives that strengthen Rosewood Calistoga's workplace experience.

COULD THIS BE YOU?

You are passionate about developing people and creating meaningful learning experiences that inspire growth, confidence, and exceptional performance. You are an engaging facilitator and confident presenter who can connect with diverse audiences and deliver learning experiences that are both impactful and memorable.

  • You bring strong coaching, mentoring, and leadership development capabilities and enjoy helping others reach their full potential.
  • You are highly organized and skilled at managing multiple priorities, projects, programs, and deadlines in a dynamic hospitality environment.
  • You excel at building trusted relationships and influencing leaders and associates across all levels of an organization.
  • You are analytical and comfortable leveraging data, reporting, and learning technologies to drive continuous improvement and measurable outcomes.
  • You bring professionalism, integrity, creativity, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset to everything you do while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.

OUR BENEFITS

As part of our team, you'll enjoy a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your wellbeing, professional growth, and life beyond work. This includes medical coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, complimentary room nights, learning and development opportunities, global career opportunities, and industry-leading paid parental leave supporting eligible associates across all paths to parenthood.

OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU

At Rosewood Hotel Group, your voice is heard and valued. We’re a community that encourages associates to be themselves, not fit into a fixed culture, and this philosophy shines through in our commitments to reflect and honor the history, culture and geography of our destinations.
