 Responsibilities:
  • Regularly maintain mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems throughout the hotel to ensure smooth operation.
  • Identify and resolve technical problems or malfunctions in all areas of the hotel.
  • Regularly check security systems, including fire protection and alarm systems, to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
  • Provide a fast, professional and reactive response to breakdown calls within 15 minutes of a guest request and emergencies.
  • To be proficient in multi-trade disciplines, with at least basic electrical, carpentry, decorating and plumbing knowledge and skills.
  • Be alert for opportunities to improve the profitability of the department i.e. through controlling wastage, economy of utilities and resources.
  • Maintain effective communication both within the department and to other departments and ensure the director is kept well informed of any problems/queries that have arisen.

Skills:
  • Completed training in a technical field.
  • Knowledge in the fields of electrical engineering, mechanics, sanitary installations and building automation.
  • A team player and enjoy supporting our Engineering Manager.
  • Familiar with technical matters.
  • Good organizational and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of Dutch and English.
