Role

We are currently looking for a Director of Talent Development to join our leadership team in the Talent and Culture department at Rosewood London. This role is pivotal in shaping our training strategies and ensuring they align with the organisational vision, culture, and commitment to our ‘Purpose’ and service philosophy of Rosewood Hotel Group. This role is offered on a part time basis working 4 days per week.


Key expectations of this role are

  • Create and implement training strategies that align with the organisational vision and future aspirations.
  • Oversee the training and development function for the hotel, include scheduling and facilitating existing programmes, implementing new initiatives, and ensuring compliance with training standards.
  • Analyse and prioritise training needs by utilising resources such as Trust You, hotel quality standards, Mystery Guest feedback reports, SOP Manuals, and the Sense of Engagement Survey.
  • Build strong relationships with departmental trainers, assisting them in achieving their training objectives through coaching, motivation, and regular audits of personal development plans and training records.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programmes. Prepare regular reports on training outcomes, employee engagement, and development progress to inform leadership decisions and strategy adjustments.
  • Manage the e-learning system, ensuring all compliance trainings are complete in given time frame.
  • Assist in compiling the hotel’s talent development budget and monitor monthly expenditures.
  • Identify and promote CSR activities for hotel associates in line with Rosewood Impacts.
  • Demonstrate sound business acumen by keeping up to date with market trends and industry dynamics.


Profile

  • Proven experience in HR leadership, learning and development strategy, and people. development, preferably within a luxury hospitality organisation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient in learning management systems, e-learning platforms, and data analysis tools.
