The Chancery Rosewood is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.


As Pastry Commis Chef, you will be a cornerstone of culinary excellence within our kitchen — combining technical mastery with the mentorship and presence to raise those around you. The embodiment of Rosewood's Relationship Hospitality, you bring craft, precision, and genuine passion to every plate you send.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Support the Pastry Chef de Partie and wider pastry team in daily operations.
  • Ensure all mise en place is prepared according to required standards and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the pastry kitchen in line with hygiene and safety standards.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the culinary leadership team.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, and innovation.
  • Assist with stock rotation and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and HACCP procedures.
