The Chancery Rosewood is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. With 144 suites by Joseph Dirand and a collection of dynamic dining and bar spaces, it’s a place where experiences are curated, conversations flow, and every detail matters.

The Role

Hosts provide the important first impression and initial point of contact for guests in the outlets in Serra, our all day dining restaurant. As a vital part of the guest experience, you will welcome guests with elegance and professionalism, manage reservations, and ensure seamless seating arrangements while upholding five-star service standards in a manner that reflects Rosewood Hotels and Resorts’ culture, purpose, and its commitment to excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a warm and professional demeanour, ensuring they feel valued from arrival onwards.
Escort guests to their tables and follow prescribed service standards in the interaction and handover to the rest of the team.
Manage guest inquiries and special requests, ensuring personalised service.
Assist in guest recognition, remembering VIPs, repeat guests, and their preferences.
Manage table reservations using F&B reservation software.
Plan seating arrangements efficiently to maximise guest comfort and dining experience, balancing this with ensuring the outlet is sufficiently organised to maximise revenue.
Communicate with restaurant teams to ensure smooth table turnover and service flow.
Monitor wait times and update guests accordingly.

About You:

Experience in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or other fine-dining environment.
A natural host, with the ability to create an engaging guest experience.
Detail-focused, ensuring every drink and interaction meets the highest standards.
A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven setting.

Balancing the rich history of the iconic building with contemporary comforts prioritized by today’s luxury traveler, the hotel will showcase architecture restoration by British architect Sir David Chipperfield of David Chipperfield Architects and interiors by French architect Joseph Dirand.
