OVERVIEW
At Rosewood Red Sea, the Laundry Manager is responsible for overseeing all laundry operations, including outsourced laundry services, while ensuring exceptional quality, operational efficiency, and compliance with Rosewood, Forbes, LQA, and resort standards.This role plays a key part in maintaining the resort’s luxury presentation standards by ensuring the timely and efficient handling of guest laundry, uniforms, linens, and Food & Beverage items. The Laundry Manager will manage vendor relationships, quality control, inventory, staffing, training, cost management, and guest satisfaction with strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage day-to-day laundry operations, including outsourced laundry coordination, linen flow, guest laundry, uniforms, and Food & Beverage items.
· Oversee outsourced laundry vendors to ensure quality, timeliness, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with resort standards.
· Coordinate daily pickup and delivery logistics for linens, uniforms, guest laundry, and related items.
· Ensure accurate tracking of outgoing and incoming laundry, uniforms, and linen movements.
· Monitor laundry quality, hygiene, presentation, fabric care, stain removal, and finishing standards.
· Conduct regular quality checks and vendor audits to ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and service expectations.
· Maintain smooth workflow between outsourced vendors and internal departments to avoid interruptions in linen and uniform supply.
· Manage laundry-related supplies, uniforms, tools, and operating resources in line with departmental needs.
· Monitor departmental expenses, supply costs, uniform costs, and outsourced laundry costs against budget.
· Review invoices, contracts, and service agreements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
· Work with Engineering to coordinate maintenance needs for any in-house laundry or guest laundry equipment.
· Establish contingency plans for vendor delays, equipment issues, quality concerns, or linen shortages.
· Evaluate and recommend improvements in vendors, supplies, equipment, and operational processes.
· Lead, train, and support laundry associates and uniform attendants to ensure productivity, quality, and service consistency.
· Prepare schedules according to business levels, operational demand, and productivity targets.
· Identify training needs and coach associates on safety, quality, service standards, and operational procedures.
· Handle guest laundry concerns promptly and ensure effective follow-up and resolution.
· Collaborate with Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Front Office, Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, and external vendors to support smooth resort operations.
· Ensure all laundry operations comply with health, safety, hygiene, local regulations, and resort policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Minimum 4–6 years of experience in laundry or housekeeping operations within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
· Previous supervisory or managerial experience in laundry operations is preferred.
· Experience managing outsourced laundry providers within a luxury hospitality environment.
· Strong knowledge of laundry operations, linen management, uniform control, guest laundry services, and vendor coordination.
· Strong understanding of fabric care, stain removal, laundry chemicals, hygiene standards, and safety procedures.
· Experience in budgeting, cost control, payroll review, inventory management, invoice review, and financial reporting.
· Ability to manage vendor relationships, service agreements, operational standards, and performance follow-up.
· Strong leadership, coaching, training, and team development skills.
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and operational planning abilities.
· Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across departments and external partners.
· Familiarity with Rosewood, Forbes, LQA, or luxury hospitality standards is preferred.
· Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and hotel management systems, is preferred.
· Ability to prepare schedules, reports, inventories, and operational documentation accurately.
· Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays as required by operations.
· Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
· Professional appearance, strong attention to detail, and commitment to luxury service standards.
