THE TEAM
As part of the Information Technology Division, which focuses on providing strategic technology solutions and operational support, this role contributes to the digital transformation and technical excellence of the property. You will report directly to the Hotel Manager, collaborating closely with Finance, Revenue Management, Operations, and all departments to ensure robust, secure, and innovative technology infrastructure that supports business objectives and guest experiences.
YOUR ROLE
As Director of IT with Rosewood Calistoga, you will lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the hotel's technology infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and innovation. You will play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation initiatives, supporting operational efficiency, and enabling associates and guests with cutting-edge technology solutions. This role is instrumental in aligning IT strategy with business goals while managing systems, cybersecurity, and vendor relationships to support the hotel's vision of delivering exceptional experiences.
HOW YOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Lead IT strategy and execution aligned with hotel business goals and corporate technology roadmap
- Oversee all hotel technology infrastructure including systems, networks, servers, and data management
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols and data protection standards are maintained and regularly audited
- Manage IT budget, capital expenditure, and vendor contracts to optimize cost-effectiveness
- Drive digital transformation initiatives that enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency
- Support property management systems (PMS), revenue management systems, and all operational software
- Provide IT support and technical guidance to all departments and end-users
- Support pre-opening strategy and execution, overseeing all activities within the IT division, in close partnership with peers and the corporate team
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity
- Monitor system performance, identify risks, and implement proactive solutions
- Collaborate with corporate IT teams to ensure alignment with group technology standards
- Lead IT team through recruitment, training, and professional development
- Conduct regular technology assessments and recommend upgrades or enhancements
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry technology standards
- Participate in technology planning for hotel renovations and new initiatives
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in technology solutions
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders on IT projects and system status
- Model Rosewood's culture, vision, and values in all interactions and leadership practices
COULD THIS BE YOU?
- You hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or possess equivalent experience.
- You have proven experience leading IT operations in hospitality or luxury hotel environments.
- You have strong knowledge of property management systems, booking engines, and hotel technology infrastructure.
- You bring expertise in network management, cybersecurity, and data protection.
- You manage IT budgets and vendor relationships effectively.
- You demonstrate excellent strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities.
- You have previously contributed to the successful pre-opening of a luxury hotel.
- You communicate clearly and build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You have experience with cloud technologies, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
- You demonstrate leadership competencies including initiative, strategic thinking, and people management.
- You stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- You maintain a guest-centric mindset and understand the critical role technology plays in enhancing guest experiences.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 annually. This is the pay range for this position that the company reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on several factors, such as experience, type of experience, location, and education.
