Rosewood Hotel Georgia, a Rosewood Hotel, is looking for an extraordinary and multi-talented Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. The Assistant Director of Food & Beverage (AD F&B) supports the Director of F&B in the leadership, operational management, and financial performance of all food and beverage outlets. This senior leadership role combines hands-on operational oversight with strategic guidance to ensure elevated guest experiences, optimized profitability, and a high-performing team. The AD F&B will act as a visible leader across all F&B outlets, supporting daily operations, leading departmental managers, and ensuring alignment with Rosewood brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Culture
- Support the Director of F&B in managing all F&B outlets, bars and restaurants as well as Banquets operations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop outlet managers to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork aligned with Rosewood values and behaviors.
- Oversee onboarding, training, coaching, and performance management across all F&B teams.
- Act as Manager on Duty when required, providing visible on-floor leadership.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives.
Guest Experience & Brand Standards
- Ensure daily operations consistently meet or exceed Rosewood service and quality standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and implement improvements based on feedback.
- Proactively anticipate guest needs, delivering exceptional, memorable experiences.
- Serve as an ambassador for the hotel’s F&B offerings, building strong relationships with guests and the local community.
- Ensure effective service recovery and resolution of guest concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Financial & Business Performance
- Assist in designing and implementing the F&B division budget, including staffing, payroll, and operational forecasts.
- Support P&L management across outlets, including revenue growth, cost control, and margin optimization.
- Monitor departmental productivity, financial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Director of F&B on marketing, public relations, and promotional initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Maintain high standards in daily operations, including scheduling, labor planning, and workflow management.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, liquor, and employment regulations.
- Collaborate with Culinary, Sales & Marketing, and other hotel departments to maximize operational performance.
- Oversee proper care, maintenance, and control of hotel assets and equipment.
- Participate in divisional and hotel-wide meetings to support business goals and objectives.
Systems & Commercial Acumen
- Utilize operational and financial systems to support performance tracking, reporting, and decision-making.
- Leverage data to drive revenue, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness, creativity, and flexibility in solving operational challenges.
Critical Skills & Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ progressive leadership experience in luxury or ultra-luxury F&B operations.
Proven experience managing teams, budgets, and elevated guest experiences.
Education: College degree or equivalent experience in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High commercial and financial acumen.
Use active listening and empathy to read emotional cues, foster collaboration, and diplomatically manage high-pressure service situations.
Ability to manage operations in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to train, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are an asset.
Licenses & Certifications: Serving It Right and Food Safe certifications required.
Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel cannot assist with Canadian work authorization.
Physical Requirements: Ability to exert physical effort in moving equipment and supplies, reach and bend as required, remain on feet for extended periods, and communicate effectively with guests and colleagues.
Work Environment: This role requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the business. The position involves a strong on-floor leadership presence within a dynamic hospitality environment.
The salary range for this position is $105,000 to $110,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, location, and education.
